I think if you would have stated in your first post that they have been sitting in the dark for two days the answers you have been given would be much different, I would chop them if they have been in the dark for two days straight.

To add to this, take some time with the microscope. I found it takes practice to easily see what you're looking for. Turning off the fans help.

So your buckets are filling up faster then they are draining? If I'm understanding you correctly, maybe larger return tubing would help.
