    Homegrownlights.com review?

Well I did it anyway, got a paycheck today so decided to take on a project. I made a small carbon scrubber for only a few bucks and it seems to work pretty well.

    Homegrownlights.com review?

Okay, so there are 2 70 watt hps's in there. The heat that they produce isn't too bad, but the magnetic ballasts associated with those are pretty hot items. I'm going for ultimate stealth so if at all possible, I would like to eliminate the need for cooling. The only idea I have so far is to...

    Homegrownlights.com review?

So my next question... I'm looking to place 3 of these in my cab. Could I get away with less? Is 3 too many? So we can estimate that if each LED is putting out 10 lumen, then a single panel puts out 2700 lumen. How much light do I need for such a small square footage?

    Homegrownlights.com review?

My growing space is 15 inches by 8 inches. I'm looking at these as a means of bringing my stealth cabinet temps down. Do you think that at this kind of space premium, that those lights are not worth my effort?

    Homegrownlights.com review?

Does anyone have experience with this company and their products? I have a very small stealth cab that heats up more than I would like, and looking into their 14w kits seems to be a good way to go without breaking the bank. I'm pretty skilled with a soldering iron, so assembly won't be a...

Building a stealth box, and would like some input.

The first pic is the outside, the second pic is inside looking up, and the third pic is the outside on top. I would like to use the holes that were previously horn tweeters to vent my light area.

Building a stealth box, and would like some input.

I had some boxes at a friends house but he can't hold them anymore, so the babies have made their way to my domain. The problem being that I need 100% stealth. I took an old speaker cabinet I had lying around for 20 years, and gutted the thing out. In the manner of being nostalgic, I've decided...

PC build in progress, can you make a silent hydroponic method?

I actually have a few of those from mushroom grows in the past. That's a great idea!

PC build in progress, can you make a silent hydroponic method?

I like the speed of my aeroponic and dwc bubblers have provided, and haven't done a soil grow yet. Soon I fear I may have to move into a location not so suitable and am building a stealth computer case. The problem being that neither of those methods are quiet enough for me and the possible...

    DWC cloner + rockwool

You should have your water barely touch the bottom of your cube. Rockwool is thirsty, and will suck up what it needs.

How Much Lighting Could I Use Minimum?

I'm more of a dc person, ac kind of scares me but honestly by following the threads in the DIY forum, it was a cinch. The bulbs themselves don't get very hot, so if you can remote ballast it, I think it'd be pretty optimal for you.

How Much Lighting Could I Use Minimum?

Get a security light from lowes. 40 bucks will give you 70 watts of metal halide goodness!

First grow ever! 18 Gal hydro!

Unless you want really tiny bushes, you need more light. Also, why are they in soil if you are doing hydro?

    First attempt, not so good.

It looks as though your rockwool cubes were submitted to far too much moisture. Were they submerged? I like to have the water level in my container to be just below the net cup.

What are the chances all 3 of my plants will be male?

I planted 20 bagseeds and of the 20, only 2 males. It's genetics, you have no option other than to just wait it out, but from my own experience, it should work out for the better. I think 2 are likely to be females.

100W CFL Generating alot of heat!

    Seedlings are stretching!!

How tall did they get before subjecting them to light? I would get stretching, albeit not that severe, if I left them in the dark germinating for too long. You can save those seedlings but I would start over. Bust out your rockwool cubes, and cut those babies down, essentially making them...
