Have you considered SCROG?

From my experience with both techniques I've found that some varieties respond better to LST and some to topping (multiple colas).. Great results can be achieved with a combo of the two. It really depends on the strain/phenotype and your ability with the method.

Wouldn't suggest hot peroxide-water.. the steam isn't exactly safe to breath in ;) Good luck with the grow! Oh.. and make sure that contained is completely opaque.. don't want light getting to those roots..

I'm not sure that plant is flowering. Just looks like the secondary growth is stunted because she is reaching for the light. Never, ever, ever "split" a stem down the middle ;) Topping is usually performed early on in the plants life when there are only 2-5 sets of true leaves (multiple fingers)...

If you are growing on a window ledge without lights you can expect the plant to flower pretty soon after veg at this time of year as the days are growing shorter.. problem is the bud will propably be light, fluffy and only good for making edibles. Have a look at some beginner grow guides...

I would suggest adding some beneficials to aid in nutrient uptake.. Piranha/Tarantula.. something like that. Also, use your additives! :) The quality of seed formation is affected by the nutrients given to the plant but once the flower is successfully pollinated, the seed will form...

The problem with overwatering is that there is not sufficient air available to the root zone.. Best growth is achieved by allowing the medium to dry out *to an extent* between waterings.

Flowering time is strain-dependant.. But generally speaking you can expect 8 - 10 weeks until she's ripe :) However, if she is on the sativa side of things, it could be more like 12. Hope that helps!

Sounds like ur having an easier time of it than I would have expected.. :) If you do have problems with burn at a later stage, may I suggest a light spreader (if you don't already have one)? They work wonders getting the light closer to the canopy and preventing hot-spots..

If its been laying around somewhere I would suggest soaking the container in a mild bleach solution (10% ish) over night and washing it thoroughly.. otherwise just rinse it out with hot water as stephengardener suggested. If I were you I'd make my way to a nursery and pick up some cheap plastic...
