robotninja, if you have the 400 watt light use it, use could always just lolipop them since the 400 wont have the penetration that a 600 or 1000 watt light has. good luck with whatever method u use!

hey im no rcoket scientist but from what ive seen is they use the watts per square foot rule because of the flat growing area. To use the watts per cubic foot rule you would dealing with a vertical grow. To easier explain would be comparing a piece of paper vs. a cylinder. Hope I am making sense...

would running the (4) cooltubed 600s have an advantage of being able to get closer to the canopy of the plants? cost is important but not a limiting factor, just looking to design a room with best bang for the buck.

thanks all, i was thinking the same thing in regards to coverage vs. penetration due to the SOG grow style. In regards to the "cooltube" vs. "coolhood" i was gona use a cooltube with a batwing reflector (like the one Al B Fuct uses, i figured that was the best setup i could use.
