    Plain water every few weeks thru the system myself. No flush and my res nev3r reaches bottom. I add water and nutes on top of what's there Too.

    Just. Checked the frequency levels of several electric ballast including phillips, they are all 2khz. So a cording to this any electronic ballast should be able. On another note. frequency filter(rectifiers) on cheap electronic ballasts, I remember reading about an updated design.

    I'm just bashing the high frequency lie. Even of you ran a DE with an electromagnetic ballast you still gain elevated arc temp, just not to the same degree As a high frequency ballast.

    I'm getting x2 de myself and I will be using a digital ballast to take advantage of hood design in maintaining high arc tube temps. Planning on spending about 200 per light will probably build my own hoods, and buy decently priced and made digital ballasts. most expensive part is the bulbs. :/...
