    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

I was thinking about making plastic walls to make the space a little smaller, but I don't think that will retain heat. I can't run more light and thought 3000 would be plenty to pull maybe a lb which is terrible but hey its all I need. Purple urkle is also really slow growing and low yielding...

    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

I've heard and read that 1000 watts is plenty for a 4 X4 area for flower ( 16 plants ), I thought doing 2000 watts would sort of be overkill. I've also heard that the more light the better no matter what Jorge Cervantes says and some people like yourself will usually only put 4 plants max under...

    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

Lol I exhaust during the summer but bringing in cold air sounds like a terrible idea since its so cold. You have to vent to keep temps down during the winter?! must be running 10000 watts damn

    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

The lights do not heat the area sufficiently, about 40 degrees two feet away, maybe 65 RIGHT under the glass. Heating costs for two 1500 watt heaters would be about 75 a month at least, OUCH. However, I am scared about the cold and wonder if giving them more than basic nutrients will even be...

    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

Yes i have 2000 watts for flower and 1000 watts for veg. I have a hard time believing that everyone out there who grows in a shed heats both rooms, again thats 3000 watts (the same as my lights and I can only run 4000 total)! Is there anyone who doesn't have heat in the winter and if so how much...

Any help people? I'm really curious about how negative the effect will be on the plants

    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

I have two seperate areas. I grew last winter and had a yield but it was small cuz I was new, but could have been because of the temp also, roughly an oz a plant only. Under the lights it is only about 40 degrees right now. Having this temp consistently this low can not be good, but i have...

    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

Im from Washington state. It gets in the 30's here in the winter and I'd like to avoid using two space heaters but I know that this cold should be very harsh on the plants. Any growers who don't use a heater and grow in a detached garage or something of that sort?

    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

Thanks, but I don't see how people can use a space heater for veg and flowering, thats 3000 watts! Do you get a descent yield during the winter months without a heater? it gets cold, especially at night

    Growing in winter- winter temps!!

hey all, I'm wondering what you all do for heat during the winter. I know one guy who says its a waste to get a space heater to heat the grow and his plants do just fine even though it gets to 30 to 40 degrees. Also does 1000 watts for 15 plants veg and 2000 for 15 flower sound adequate? Thanks...

    Clones not rooting! HELP

Hello I am currently having some cloning issues and cannot get them to root the past month. My temp varies from 65-75 which should be just fine. Could the issue be that I only had two flouros above them but they were nearly two feet high? I know flouros should be about one foot or lower on...

Revegging after harvest to save a stran

Hello, I recently had one strain in particular I wanted to keep from a pack of seeds. Come to find out, after taking clones I guess I had forgotten to take clones off that plant. Now I am left with a stalk, with maybe one or two living branches. My question is can this be put back in veg for a...

Distance from canopy 1000 watt? and bud loses smell while drying?

Hey I currently have my 1000 watts about 2 feet from canopy with air cooled hoods but it still seems like it may be too much light and heat. And yeah, my buds smell great but lose smell while drying is this because of the heat wave?

    Severe heat stress!??

exhaust fan yes, but get more light and push that bitch back up to 85 =)

    Severe heat stress!??

These coments are not necessarily true. If it is 85 degrees because you have a couple of 1000 watters directly on some canopy colas this is perfectly fine. it's a damn plant, and it wants light more than it wants to be from 68-75 degrees. lower is bad yes, higher is not preffered, but that heat...

1000 watt distance and trimming plants while flowering.

Exactly, it depends. I do best with 20 big plants veg, 4 plants per 1000 watt light directly on them flowering. Big buds!

1000 watt distance and trimming plants while flowering.

Maybe for you, not for me. I tried this method for a year, ever since I switched to more light directly on less plants giving those precious tops intense light, ounce and a half colas suddenly appear. Longer veg, more light in veg, everything more light = BETTER
