Use so many as possible,,, as long as you get off the heat that the lamps produce ... I use 600W HPS hanging above + 4 x 200w CFL hanging on the sides, works very nice!...... you need one lamp above the plant, or else the plant will use forever to grow tall ... use 600W dont get much better...
