I actually had this problem on my current grow. Blue critical Auto from Dinafem. The leaves didn't merge, instead the second node just wasn't there... I topped it as I had no choice and all is seeming well so far.

4 days after topping. So far so good other than the birth mark and possibly a few nit picky things. For a serious grow I also wouldn't use a plastic mixing bowl, I just enjoy using weird things to grow in :hump:

These are my poor heat stressed babies, if you look closely you can see some whitefly marks. I'll be going to the Hydro store tomorrow just to see what the person I regularly see recommends. I feel as though I might be having a slight nutrient problem too based on the new leaves that are forming.
