High and confused about BHO "shatter" making *without vac*

Howdy! I recently harvested 2 White Sirius autos and failed miserably making bubble hash, wasted 80% of the popcorn nugs and trim

However, for what little I have left I want to make BHO. I purchased a small glass extractor and ventti butane. The plan is to pack the extractor full of nugs and frosty trim, use a coffee filter as opposed to the mesh screen (which is 50 micron), run butane through it until clear onto a glass surface. (This is the part I need clarification with) and let that sit in the pyrex dish in water that is around 40C. Once most of the butane is evaporated I plan on using a razor to scrape it to the center and let the warm water take out as much as it looks like it's doing something.
The question is once a few hours have passed will I even be able to scrape the hash to put it on parchment paper? And will this method of warm water take out a considerable amount of butane so it's dabbable?

There's a lot of conflicting info and I usually fail pretty hard at most things I try and I would like to get this right.

I've never made an extract outside of butter, but it seems to me like if you "failed miserably" at making bubble hash you wouldn't want to go bouncing off to fuck with some butane. I hope you don't 'splode something.

The failing was due to buying 20 dollar bags, having back problems and working solo There's probably another excuse that I can't think of but I will be doing this outside obviously.

Look in the concentrates and extracts section. I run QWET, not BHO but basics are the same.

Why do you want to get it back onto parchment paper? What you are missing is doing a complete purge on a coffee warm or something. The way you are describing, I doubt you will get all the butane out.

@GD After seeing some different videos of the process I assumed that leaving it to air purge or warm water purge would be "good enough" for personal use. I am 100% getting a vacuum purge when I can but for now I'm just curious if the way I'm thinking will work.

Even personal use you want to get as much to all the butane out...I can't believe I heard someone say this?

And this is exactly why BHO gets a bad name

I thought BHO got a bad name because people make it inside around open flames, but ok.

That is a reason....but a main reason is people selling this bunk...I mean I get its your personal decision to consume it for yourself only but still even a bad idea...do you know how bad it is for your body when there is butane left? Even a little bit?

Do you know you cell phone ringing can create a spark? Even wearing certain clothing can create friction sparks and and lot of open butane? Do you know the neighbor and round the corner came out to light a cigarette...just from watching YT vids you shouldn't just say the heck with it and try it.... blasting butane isn't something you just say let's do it and the next day start blasting

Yes, I am aware that residual butane left in the product is not good, however my thought process behind it was that i smoke a lot of bongs and inhale a lot of butane too. (Keep in mind I'm only doing a small batch). I would never sell what I'm planning on making NOR will I leave anyone under the impression that it is clean.
I am also aware of things that can cause a spark.

It's also a 12g extractor

Trust me I'm just saying as much as possible don't take any offense, I have friends that have been seriously injured, so just be careful my man ...blasting can be a scary subject especially the first time....just remember, unbleached filters to blast threw, make sure you have a nice pack on the bud/trim so no blowouts.....residential neighborhood is hard with the smell and sound ppl tend to freak out and call the popo fast....

My buddy got his house raided he was blasting and they said he was making meth blah blah blah....

So make a check list, get everything and then go over that list maybe 2 more times lol

No offense taken! I understand and appreciate the concern and it is a little anxiety provoking but more on the side of the smell and noise. But with that being said I was kind of underestimating the inherent dangers involved and assumed 99% of those accidents where because of things like smoking/heat purging on an open flame etc.

I'll hold off for a bit longer and make sure I have a solid checklist.

When it's done write u can make some bomb shit....and once you get the hang of what can go on and happen you'll see its not that hard, just more nerve wracking
