Window unit that won't let in light

It's enough light to ruin buds in the vicinity as it did last run (airy tops that lacked frost, late strech). The same strain did much better in other parts of the room. Is that a Kenmore Elite 76120 12000 BTU? I really need brand names and models numbers of non leakers. Thx

Window unit that won't let in light

I'm in the market for a 12000 BTU window unit that does not allow light leaks through. Anyone know of any specific models? I really don't want to have to open up the unit and spray paint styrofoam and all that stuff. Thx

    window ac btu

Yes indeed Pimpin, outside air is ducted through the hoods and pushed out of the room. Temps would be in the high 90s in the room without an air conditioner during summer night cycles. I'm looking at window units. Anyone have a btu size for this specific setup or light proof models to suggest? thx

    window ac btu

Hi I have a 11'-12' sealed room with 3 600 watt air cooled lights. I'm going to grab a window unit. How many btu's? I'm thinking either 8000 or 10000. Temps outside shouldn't get higher than low 90s as I flower at night. Thx for input

    HID lighting choices

HI I am using 3 MH lights for veg and early flower. I then plan on switching two of the MH lights out for HPS bulbs of equal wattage. We've all heard that using a combo of MH and HPS in flower provides a more complete spectrum ,but its worth noting than an HPS bulb puts out more lumens than an...

root rot overcome but can I clone?

Well the title pretty much says it all. I was a newbie to DWC and drowned the gals who then developed root rot. With in 3 days of noticing some droop and yellowing I cut off all exposed roots and put the net pots into a full tray of Hydroton. Its been three weeks and the plants are perked up and...

    3 cool tubes 2 fans

Hi all, I plan on setting up three 600w lights in three 6" cool tubes with two 435 cfm fans blowing on one side and sucking on the other. The setup will be in a straight line. I am concerned that the third light in the chain will be hotter creating uneven canopy temps. Any thoughts, suggestions...

Ebb and Flow - Hydroton by itslef?

hi Panhead, great methods! Do you use low rise 3 3/4" depth trays or the regular 7 inch depth? Does the difference in the volume of gas at root zone between the 2 tray choices matter?

Hi Panhead! I've been reading a lot about your fabled mediumless method and I'm intrigued. I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this (I just went to the newest post). May I ask the depth of the 4'x8' black trays that you've used. P.S. awesome sound gear :)
