    Starlite LED / Flip Chip Opto - 640W - 1500+ PPFD 4 BY 4 COVERAGE @ 2 FEET FROM CANOPY

Now in the brochure it lists 3000k, 4000k, and 5000k color options, and lists the cobs in luminous efficiency. But in the pictures they look blurple. Are these white light cobs? And I see they're only around 110-120 lumens per watt, is there some reason we should use them over high efficiency...

Hello from the other side,I told you fools a 1000 times

How dense are you expecting? If I make a 5g lighter sized nug I'm satisfied with density. My shitty Mars 400 nugs are fluff though. But I'm gonna say strain affects density more than anything. Nug under 4000k Cree cob One of many small fluffy Mars hydro nugs The last thing I have...

Hello from the other side,I told you fools a 1000 times

Have you tried cree cob leds yourself? Personally from an overhead 600w hps (Hortilux bulb but cheap reflector) I'm getting slightly higher overall lux readings at my canopy with a switch to a 340w PLC. As for yield I only have 1 small 2'x2' grow finished under Cree cobs, 21k lumens, 148w at...

Hello from the other side,I told you fools a 1000 times

What's with all the cob hate though? Someone started a thread to gloat at the first thought of hps out performing Cree cobs? That thread is a comparison of 600w, 108k lumens of Cree cob vs 1000w, 145k lumens of vert hps. Comparing equal lumens(800w of cobs at that efficiency, not 600w), or equal...

High power COB -vs- hps vertical shoot out

Yeah I think that's 600w total, which would explain the poor performance. 4 more cobs at 50w each puts it to 144k lumens, that'd be a pretty even comparison with a 145k 1000w bulb. Grab a kill a watt meter and check what they're pulling at the wall. For distance from canopy, Cree cobs are...

High power COB -vs- hps vertical shoot out

I may have missed something, but the driver on page 2 is .7A. 12 cobs and 4 drivers, that's only 150w each, 600w total? 108k lumens with the cobs, 145k with the vert hps?
