I'm in the same boat as you. Coming from hps to cobs. Light height is tricky without a par meter. I think I've raised and lowered my light 10 times in the last few weeks lol. Everybody says 18 inches but what I don't understand is why the recommended height for both 50w and 100w chips is the same.

Up high but usually overlapping multiple lights also. I think you'll only see a single light being used in a tall tent or small grow room with reflective walls.

Just a heads up. These run the vero 29's. The cree chips will also be great and timber offers them too. EDIT: I forgot that you said you already have a couple bars. So you know they rock.
