    Go #2

Your obsession with cal-mag is disturbing. There's an amazing book you should get, that everyone should get, and it's cheap. It's called The Cannabis Growers Handbook by Ed Rosenthal. The lessons that book teaches are timeless and apply to every grow method. You can use that book to diagnose...

    Design me a perpetual grow

I used a low pressure aero system for years and it worked amazing, I converted a mini fridge into a chiller and I still have it. I really want to entertain getting a real system though. I almost pulled the trigger on a supercloset trinity but I know I can just build ALOT better for the price...

    Design me a perpetual grow

Unfortunately as far as I am aware all clones count towards my limit, however I have a neighbor who wanted clones of my 9lb hammer for a small grow and if i become his medical marijuana caretaker I am allowed to grow for him in his home, ive often debated vegging or cloning at his place and...

    Design me a perpetual grow

Size is open for discussion, I want to have 4 plants in scrog, 4 in veg and 4 in clone. Hydro or aero is not as inexpensive as coco but i like to dial in my nutrients and coco makes a huge mess you have to deal with. By DTW you talking about a drip system?

    Design me a perpetual grow

Ok. I need help designing a perpetual grow. My budget is $2k-$3k. I live in Mass so my limit is 12 plants. My requirements are as follows: LED lighting (quantum or otherwise) Hydro or Aero Tents must be used I have no spare room. I do not care about odor. I plan to grow 4 indica strains that...

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

You are just saying that your heat sinks fit. They are much smaller than that and 2 1mm washers won't make them fit. The threading in the screw holes aren't even remotely the same.

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

You're way over exaggerating there, it's about 1/4 the cost. Furthermore the rapid canopy substrate offers a flexible and adjustable platform that fits cobs, chilled boards and quantum boards in one easy professional rail system.

Then you rule out everyone who uses rapid canopy from buying your cobs. It's a shame to limit your market like that.

Introducing CobKits.com - specializing in DIY and Citizen COBs

So just an afterthought on the purchase of the "light engines" from Cobkits. I had not settled on a way to mount these heat sinks and LEDs until recently a month after making my purchase I settled on the rapid LED canopy substrate. If you do plan on using the rapid LED substrate, I would...

Help with my first grow please

Not yet but my plan completely changed up. I am putting 9x cxm-22 3500k 90cri cobs, 24 photo reds and 16 far reds over a 4x4. I'll have the rest of the parts in tomorrow. For now I have 4x strawberry kush, 1x blueberry 1x pineapple haze under the vipar. They are one week into flower and I...

    Open-source Led light controller

For now ill just use individual wall timers for each color channel. Eventually I want to use an arduino or raspberry pi do digitally control it all. Im a bit bummed that I was pitched and sold on hlg a series drivers. I'll have to replace those for my cobs so that was about $300 wasted money :/...

    Open-source Led light controller

Mike at Radid said they plan on making supplimental red kits that will be directly mountable to the substrate. If you take a look at what Growmou5 and ChilLed are doiing with the new "ChillConnect" system, DIY lights are really going to be THE way to go. As more and more LED component suppliers...

    Open-source Led light controller

I haven't received the substrate yet, but I plan to add the 2 48" heatsinks directly to the side of 2 of the rails, probably the inside edge of the 2 outside rails. Whats going to be complicated is how am I going to stagger the PRs and FRs on separate drivers in series, I don't want one bar of...

    Open-source Led light controller

I can't complain so far. I like that they came out with this rail system. Saves me tons of time which is great because depending on seizure frequency and doctor visits I dont always have the time to sit and custom build stuff. Having this rail system saves me all that time and provides a future...

    Open-source Led light controller

I guess I'll bite the bullet I've come so far already. Im putting 9 cxm-22, 24 cree cx-b photo reds and 16 cx-b far reds in a 4x4. I haven't nailed uv-a yet but That will come too. Are you running the PRs all day and the FRs only after lights off for 15 minutes? The blueish seems like it would...

    Open-source Led light controller

Is there a guide to build this for people new to arduino, or at least a list of the parts needed? I need to control cobs, photo red and far red individually with dimming and timing.

    The far red thread

I got 2 of these kits, each has 12x photo red and 8x far red. http://www.rapidled.com/4-photo-far-red-supplement-led-kit/

    The far red thread

I can run them separate, i was going to run the photo red at wakeup and far red for 15 minutes at lights out
