Law Enforcement Lurks

Always good advice, but I'm not really worried at all because I'm on the right side of the law in this endeavor. If that's not your circumstance you should be especially careful, though you would hope Johnny Law had better ways to spend his time you know he gets plenty bored.

LEOs have always been on this site.

It isn't a huge deal and alot of them actually grow too.

I could be the Po-po!

:dunce:

Solid advice is if it's not ok for you to grow, don't grow.

If you live in your parents house and they don't know you have a grow, don't grow.

If you're growing for profit in a place where pot is illegal, don't post unedited photos.

Alot of information can be in the metadata of a photo. Sometimes including a GPS location, your name, type of device used to take the photo, brand, etc.

If you're a personal grower, no law enforcement agency gives two shits about you. They want to remove the blackmarketeers from our gene pool.

Cannabis is becoming more and more accepted and will eventually be legal almost everywhere.

Yeah man I sometimes will pull peoples photos down and put them in a metadata app, all you can get is their brand of phone and other useless stuff because I think the website deletes location data. I scrub mine to be sure. But then again I’m not sure anyone is worried about my two plants lol, I would certainly hope not. Not really too worried about being in Georgia and posting, I see much bigger grows in equally prohibitive states. Although I do get nightmares weekly about it and if it were legalized I know those would stop! Lol. Some of the posts I see on here though, especially the ones about sourcing (a guy wanting to geT some cartridges in the mail a couple weeks ago comes to mind) make me wonder if it’s LEO or just idiot kids.

I'd bet it's a dumb person but there's an equal chance it could be a slow enforcement day and a cop wants extra brownie points for nailing someone for mailing contraband.

I can trade seeds with anyone in Canada, but if I try to do the same with someone in the US, I would get nailed for whatever I fraction that falls under.

Sorta like Marc Emery.

This site does not. Seen many a pic here that googles fancy satellite view shows the car in the driveway. Be safe as always.. especially if breaking legal limits, or in a prohibition location. Even then, there are greedy folks that would rather steal your shit than grow their own, legal or not.

I use exif viewer, chrome add on to check my pics which clearly shows the gps data of any pic i mouse over

Hello it's PVOG, just a shout to let you know there is Johnny Law lurking in this site. Please be careful, be leary of being baited into posting photos that may get you in trouble . Just saying, the world's tough enough without The Man trying to take your medicine away. Stay safe and stay smart, have a groovy day.
The free exchange of information is not illegal and is even protected speech in many countries. I “highly” doubt anyone is looking to bust people growing weed for their own consumption. Have been in these forums for a very long time and have yet to hear of someone getting raided because of a pic they shared here on RIU. If any users are known to have gotten in trouble because of something shared please post about it here....wait that sounds like something a cop would say

Yeah I use the exif viewer app and if I put a Facebook pic through it it shows up on a map where the pic was taken but I haven’t found one on RIU that works like that.
