Just bought my Model 48SAMS from Timber can't wait to join the big boys.

Yup. I love what Dan is doing with these boards for adding value.... except the frame layout. Randomblame yet again nails it. The frame build quality and dimming are what sets this line apart from HLG : a more adaptable system or better options for frameworks would make this a better fit for...

Just bought my Model 48SAMS from Timber can't wait to join the big boys.

Pretty much this. HLG has great PCB, diodes and customer service. Their controls and fixture options are their areas for improvement and iirc they are fixing the former. If I were famous like Ledgardener and had Robin's ear at HLG, I'd be pointing that out as Timber is taking advantage of it...

The engineering on these fixtures is nicer than the HLG kits. Aboot time someone started competing in this segment.

LED grow from start to finish

Some people want a nice fixture. The OP is obviously one of them. Sorry if I offended you with my lack of tradesmanship. If HLG makes a better solution, I'll give them all my monies. Meanwhile Buddzbudda over here has the right idea by changing the topic back to this awesome LED grow from...

LED grow from start to finish

In what world is making your own fixture easy for someone with no metal working experience, skillset, proper tools or time? HLG's DIY sets bridge the gap by offering the heatsink as your structure so you need minimal time and equipment. The logistics of all those parts is done with one order...

LED grow from start to finish

What did you use for your frame on your light? Quantums in a 5x5 would be fantastic if HLG had some better options for spreading the light.

Anyone else waiting for Samsung strips?

Go to the Ledgardener site and ask him. Technical questions on LED'S get answered there. RIU is great for advice and opinions. LEDGARDENER is a more specialized source for LED info so I wouldn't doubt that crazy polite Canadian would update his tool for ya.

Anyone else waiting for Samsung strips?

Does anyone have any of these new strips yet? The prices seem very high compared to their competition at the moment.

    Quantum Board QB 288 V2

Now I'm doubly interested to know the answers to the same 2 questions.

    Quantum Board QB 288 V2

How high do you have to hang it? What's your corner coverage like?

    New quantum board QB324!

Did HLG ever post that sphere data? Our quest for knowledge will make us brighter.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Does Anyone have any DATA on the new HLG 324 QBs? I'm feelin the hype, sensing the hype is real, and need real data to confirm it. Also, does anyone have any solid science on CRI vs flowering yields? Red Light seems to be a tricky lil group of photons to pin down properly and I've only heard...
