0.5g/watt how?

I've always just kept my hoods about 16"-18" from the canopy. Just kinda figured it was the norm based on lumens and footcandles. I use water cooled equipment in my room and my hoods are vented back to the return on my air handler. I can put my face on the glass they are so cool. Maybe i'll try moving 1 or 2 of them down to 12" and see what happens.

Absolutely, my friend. I think it shows it on a wing reflector on the box but it'll fit on almost any type of hood - - - I've used them on Magnums and Blockbusters no problem. That brings up a good point though. The one I think you are talking about is the one you want. There are a few knockoffs that aren't as good.

This one is the one I think we are both talking about. http://www.sunlightsupply.com/p-12154-super-spreaders.aspx And I just noticed they talk about using it with a wing reflector on the website too. They truly are the shit though regardless of what type of reflector you use.

i running a 2x4x4 with 2 400w 21 plant SOG supposed 7 week cycle 3 plants a week but they over lap a little because i have so many strains right now im getting an 1 oz a plant every 7 weeks which i think is .73 grams perwatt all together but my cycle is more like 10-11 weeks it took mad tweaking to the nutes(for the perfect balance of synthetic and organic), co2, air cooled tube , low humidity, UV bulbs, and a buch of shitty low yeilding plants along the way

1000w lights 6" from the canopy? You don't have any issues with bleaching?
No bleaching, and those 1000's are bright:cool:. I have serious ventilation, (entire volume is replaced 4x/minute, theoretically), good internal air movement, and good temps/rh. The six g13 Haze in the grow tent closest to harvest drink about 3 gals/day of nutrient - it's ebb/flow. I don't know which factor makes them so light-hungry and burn-resistant, I'm just pushing the limits to see what happens:lol:

Sounds like you got it dialed in. I'm gonna try out one of those spreaders. I've never really brought my lights any closer than 12-14" late in flower just because I've never seen any of my plants like it. I'm running htose Magnum XXXL hood and my entire setup is water cooled. My hoods are literally so cool I can lay my face on the glass.

If I were you, I would try running 3 plants under each 400 watt light, with about a 2.5x2.5 footprint for each light.

Look into supercropping as well, your plants will take longer to veg, but the amount of product you get off each one multiplies significantly with each bend and break.

Yeah, after I cut this crop and there's space to work in there , I'm going to install a spreader. I envy you the water cooling - when I grow up I wanna have water cooling, too!:)

Yea man...it's cool. Takes a few weeks to get your head around the theory and then get the bugs out of your system but once it's up and running it is so easy.
