Week 13 | Day 86
Been 2 days since i watered the 3/4th gallon with FF tiger bloom and unsulphured molasses. I feel im cornered bc I see further purpling of sugar leaves, and really think i need to get some potassium in her, but last pot lift...shes just not quite dry enough. I thought about stabbing holes throughout the mudium to help aerate. This is how she looking now, still got some branches that feel like their barely upright.

Well she finally felt light enough to water tonight. The medium also didn't compact up again; working the fabric pot last time - slowly but thoroughly, to loosen the compacted dirt paid off. I think I've filled the top 1 inch at least 4 times. I fed another 3tsp of Tiger Bloom with some milk(ph up, various nutes) in 3/4gal water. I didn't want to do plain tiger bloom and water because she's been fed the last 2 times and I don't want the medium to get too acidic like I went through my last grow.

This morning she's looking happy still. I do swear by slow watering, always get the best next day results when I spread the watering in portions over 30-45min. She hasnt yellowed anymore it doesn't look since Sunday afternoon. If i can just keep temps below 80 I think she'll fatten up nicely. Especially being a photoperiod.

Watering her with 3/4th gallon and roughly 1.5tbsp of molasses. I believe from here till Jan1 I'll just be watering. Some buds look like they barely grew compared to Tuesday, but a lot of the smaller canopy budsites have doubled in size.

For gits and shiggles, I left 2 nugs while chopping the final branch of the Godfather about a week ago. I chopped them today. Below is a comparison of a top from the initial chop, and these 2 buds just now.

I think she definitely frosted up more. Trich's seem more crowded. Especially considering these 2 nugs are base of the plant/usually larf nugs compared to a top nug, 2 weeks prior.

I think I will try another auto+photoperiod grow. Seems to be a decent method that I can dial in some more.

She's canabalizing fan leaves fairly quick. Buds have grow a little. I've also dropped the time from 12/12 to 11/13 over the last week; 30min less for 3 days, then another 30min on day 4. Trying to get these babies to ripen up. It'd be nice to chop her Sunday after Christmas, then have the next couple days to monitor the dry and everything. My work gets the 31st and the 1st off, so PTO for monday, and I'll have 3 whole days to baby the dry process.

The close up pic is the same bud from 12/14's post fyi

EDITED: decided to show the comparison side by side in photo. She is swelling, the calyx's at the center of the bud above the sugar leaf - in the middle, are almost twice the size it looks compared to 12/14.
I kinda dig the Havana colors lol. Now i wonder "If I had defoliated like a mofo....would my buds have changed to these wild colors instead of the fan leaves???

Well I've been paying closer attention to the budsites, and learning. The calyx is the budsite, the pistils are the stacked growth. Start about the size of a perlite spec and swell to a fairly plump pea size, stigmas turn brownish. Then another set of white pistils/stigmas pop up around those. Its cool to watch the micro grow progress, seeing new pistils swell and fade in 48 hours, and another 2 or 3 pistils around them starting. :eyesmoke: I imagine if your trich's haven't kicked to amber and you still got new white hairs throughout the plant, then they're still trying to fatten up.

haha sounds simple and "...Duh", but I've only paid attention to trich color my previous 2 grows, so knowing what to look for otherwise is fascinating.
