Hey @TheStickMan , what do you think caused the bud rot on your big ole lemon buds? I'm just getting worried about my buds laying on each other since they can't stand up and my humidity gets up to 68% when lights are out. Although it gets down to 37% when lights are on.
I obv have air constantly moving thru the tent pretty quickly with the exhaust and i have two 6" fans blowing air around as well, on fan acroas the light and the other across the buds.

Hello mate, I didn't have enough air movement between them, and the canopy was really thick, I think the r/h was around 60/70 constantly even throughout the night. I think I could have controlled it better by having a fan blowing underneath and straight up. I had two 9 inch clip ons going all the time but think I could have just positioned them better. It didn't help though the amount of tops there was, and that they were all touching and there was some in the middle and lower than others that must have been getting very little air.

Ohkay I gotcha, that's a good idea on fan up from underneath. I'll throw an extra in like that to be safe.

All is good, i had thought about it weeks ago but kept figuring not to worry since i thought she was gunna finish soon. Figure oughta be safe than sorry esp with them laying on each other so much now. Thanks man!

And the warning sticker on the bucket is one not to ignore, I'm fucking sick of babies crawling into my reservoir, with their sticky acidic fingers, fucks the pH right up!
How is the Amnesia doing, dare I ask? 2 weeks? Haha :razz:

Amnesia, Amnesia, well the thing is...in about 2 more weeks....she might be ready... Lol actually now I keep telling myself 1 week. Idk man i think early last week she showed some ripening but then kinda froze up again. 1 more week ;)

Lol thanks man, i just hate all the dead leaves but it's seriously like the plant died and the buds are just thriving away with a mind of their own.

Thanks again! I'm just as surprised, I went into this hoping for 5oz cuz I had just upped from CFL's to a 250w, but i got carried away and ended up with a tent and a 600w haha Go big or go home right?

Me tooo!!! It's day 99(over 14 weeks) of flower, i thought only outdoor took that long or atleast a heavy sativa, this is supposed to still be a hybrid and not fully sativa(it's Original Amnesia, not Amnesia). I feel like going from 1 month flower 250w to the 600w it like almost restarted the process or something idk

But anyway, i have no clue when chop is, us saying one or two weeks has actually became a joke between me and stick because we've been saying it for over a month now haha

Do you have a loupe? Some strains like matanuska t-fk never get brown hairs just a thought & I would like to thank you for your input on my dilemma I think it's gonna work out

Yeah, well i got one of those lil magnifiers with the light & 60x-100x zoom. I've been checking and i am now at what looks like 90-100% cloudy(no amber at all)BUT there's all this new growth towards the tops of the buds that's still basically all clear. It's like it's still growing more and more peices of new bud. The new bud peices are white hair, whispy, light green, so it's exactly like new bud formations but they're really just whisps mostly. All the rest of the bud underneath that are red hair, swollen, hairs curling in and ready for harvest looking bud.

And no problem man, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya, just gotta get passed this hiccup!

Here's some pics @horribleherk
First two are same bud, you can see the curled up finished looking bud(has cloudy trichs) but then you see the white haired foxtails that grow out of the buds that are clear trichs.

Thing is all the giant buds have a bunch of these white haired foxtails growing out of em and I really just want them to ripen but it's just not really happening. I'm wondering if because I have almost no leaves left it can't ripen itself or at least it can in super super slow motion. I had removed leaves to allow good airflow a while back because i thought harvest was gunna be soon at that time but i still had a lot left but over the past month they have all turned yellow, dryed out and died.

The leaves doing that is normal especially if you've cut back on the nutes&addatives or flushing I think maybe the plant is drawing stored food from the leaves & channeling it to bud development sounds cool anyway I hear powdered kool bloom will help a plant Finnish off

Yeah nutes have dropped really low but only because that's all she's intaking. She's barely got any leaves left to pull from, what little she does are already yellow so hopefully that's a good sign of finishing. Interesting, i'll have to look into that!

I've used both the liquid & the dry kool bloom the dry tells the plant the end is near the only problem I see is that it might absorb into the hydroton & possibly leech out in your next grow if you were to use the same hydroton for that reason I never recycled my coco after using the dry kool bloom

Just did a bunch of reading about heavy sativa's. Sounds like this is pretty typical of having these secondary new bud growths out of ripe buds. Sounds like it's just a Sativa thing that's seen a lot. With my main mass of my buds having all cloudy trichromes(and just did a good looking today at the buds on the plant with my scope and am now seeing amber trichs on both top and lowest buds) I'm in the harvest window now or I can just keep waiting while these new spurts keeping going and ripening. Since I have LSD anxiously awaiting the 600w I'm going to call it this weekend and chop this girl down finally. If I see any reasonable change in the next few days i'll wait until the weekend after but I doubt I will. I think I'd benefit more having LSD under the 600w than just allowing little bud shoots to ripen on Original Amnesia.

@TheStickMan Suggestion on how many and what size jars for curing? Obviously gunna need some large jars, and with your last harvest being almost identical you'd know best. Currently I only have 4x .7 liter jars, so obv need some more. Like how big were the jars you used for the 1 oz cola's?

image.jpeg I used 9 one litre jars mate, then all that bud at the bottom I didn't have the heart to chop up and I ran out of jars! So it went into big ZigZag ziplock bags, and I was impressed at how well it cured in them.
The 1 litre jars hold about 1 and half ounce, the 70CL hold about an ounce. Best get buying mate! haha :p

Sounds good thanks man. Yeah i don't want to chop up my huge buds either and remember you only showing the pic of them laying there but not in jars didnt kno if u had found big enough jars. You know it, on the time clock now! I'm eyeing some 1.9 Liter Balls jars on Amazon , wondering if i could fit the big cola's in those?

What kind of dry time did those big buds take?

I've not yet had a perfect harvest/cure because I hadn't dried long enough my past two grows. My first grow doesn't smell like anything cuz i jarred too soon and my second smells like mint tea in the jar but after its been in a bag for 10 min it reaks like skunk(so that one got much better).
