1 week into my 125w CFL Auto grow - first pics - looking ok?

Hi everyone,

I'm 1 week into my first grow and just wanted to get the all clear from you veterans on my seedling. I'm trying to grow 1 x Lowryder Easyryder and 1 x Dinafem White Widow Auto with the following setup. I soaked both in a shot glass of mineral water for 24 hours, the White Widow sunk and showed a taproot so I planted it 1/2 an inch under the soil and she seems to be doing well. The Easyryder is being a bit of a numpty, it took an extra 8 hours to sink so when it did I planted it - 5 days later there was nothing so I had a look at the seed and absolutely nothing had changed so I germinated it using the wet paper towel method on my cable box, it showed a taproot in a day so I planted it but it has not materialised yet 3 days later Fingers crossed it will pop up at some point. Anyway the White Widow Auto seems to be loving it although I wanted to check with you guys that she seems ok. Her leaves seem to be cupping a bit? I have her about 1.5 inches from the lamp. My setup is as follows and here's Debbie (white widow auto). I couldn't get my camera to take a reasonable picture in the case due to the light so she's on the table at the moment and will go back in shortly.

She is 8 days old since being planted. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance




Setup.

1 x PC Case - 52 x 37 x 20 (h x w x d) covered in diamond mylar with 2 x 80mm exhaust and 1 x 80mm intake.

1 x 125w Maxibright CFL (2700k) on 18/6

Biobizz Light-Mix Soil. 1 x 6.5L (1.5 Gallon) pot per plant.

Nutes - Biobizz Grow & Bloom

Using supermarket mineral water and the temps range from 75 - 85 but average out at 80.

Gonna need to repost your pictures. Those conditions all sound good but as far as the cupping it sounds like heat stress. 1.5 inches especially for a seedling is too close. That's a lot of light right away to put right up to them. I'm sure with pics I can either verify or get a better assessment.

That should be working now? I've moved the seedling down to 3 inches from the light. A nice bonus was that she seemed to love the hour in the sun on the table. It was direct sunlight not through a window as we had the bay doors open. Is this something you can do to help them grow? I'm convinced she grew quite a bit just in that hour in the sun although the cupping seemed to increase which would lend weight to your theory of heat? Thanks for the help anyway!

how is debbie?

I've never had probs with lights that close to my seedlings, but I keep a small desk fan blowing heat AWAY from them...but anyway! Looks good so far man, and everything sounds bout right, for now of course.
