Im a 1st time grower and my plants are having some problems and i dont know what the cause is. This a purple og kush clone and its been in soil for a week. At about the 5th day i noticed one of the leaves was starting to curl up. Now some of the other leaves are starting to look like they also will curl up. Can any one help? Why is this happening, and what can i do to stop it?

What kind of lights are you using and on what cycle? What kind of soil is that and how often do you water? What's the temp in the room and is there proper airflow?

the plants look thirsty, list your water schedule. i would keep the soil moist while the clone grows roots. Did you use any rooting hormone? that shit is awesome.

I'm running a 600 watt uship super hps on a 18/6 schedule. I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest and I water every other day or when my water meter tells me the soil is too dry with PH'ed tap water to about 6.3-6.8 . Temps are at a constant 73-78 F and humidity at 45-65%. I have a 6" vortex exhausting air out the window and I have 2 passive intake holes open in the tent. I've been doing a little research and I'm thinking it might be MG deficiency.

I have the lights at about 16" away from the top of the plants, I have 6 other clones of various strains including another purple og kush clone that looks healthy and doesn't show this problem. Im going to try raising the lights to about 20" from the top of the plants and see what happens.

Your clone looks green overall. Most clones will naturally loose their fans that they were started with when they get older. Smaller, more frequent waterings to get the roots going. Actually, despite this problem your clones upper parts seem to be responding good. Basically, if you pump air out of an op you have to pump air into it. Your plants will do better with proper atmospheric pressure, usually equal too or slightly greater than outside air.

from my experience this is caused by heat, maybe a defense mechanism from the heat? Whatever it may be its only on the lower leaves and your plant is still young, even if those leaves happened to die and fall off you shouldn't be worried man.

Something else to keep in mind, when your doing your clones don't touch the rooting area of the snip with your fingers.

well i just moved the lights to 20". if this doesn't help I think I'll give an active intake a try by adding a smaller 4" vortex to supply fresh air from outside. good thing this is only happening to the older leaves, the new growth looks pretty good.
