I think back to my good friend (RIP Mikee !) who mentored me when I got my indoor going back about '99 or so . His partner went to the High Times Cup every year and brought back all the top winners from the original breeders .
My friend was a prolific clone maker , he kept about 50 each in veg and bloom and his motto was the more the merrier with clones . The worst that can happen is you throw some out .
That dude gave me hundreds if not over 1000 clones . He would give me 100 each spring for an outdoor guy he didn't even know . I remember counting the strains he gave me once and IIRC it was over 40 . You name one from that era and I had it . Free . Deal sealed over a doobie and handshake .
Those were the fucking days boy . Right up there with guerrilla growing through the 80's with our little 4 man "weed mafia" . All friends from kids , still friends now .

This must be an OK grower asking this... I saw it recently somewhere on a FB page locally. For 10K, you'd be better off hunting your own pheno. Sure, it takes time... but, insane none the less.
