It would just take to long to take it apart from the piping to send it in then to wait and install, we are just trading in at the local store and they are backing the warranty with an exchange. So it is just a matter of cutting it out of the line and redoing it so that if it fails again in the future we do not have to cut pipe to replace it.
man thats huge but it looks like a waste to me what do you expect to yield on each light buddy u so should have went vertical you could be pulling down 22 to 25 pounds out of that room also you have all 10 1000w lighjt going at once holly shit what are u in a 240 amp service will will pop off a fire you should have done 5 and 5 on flips but nice show anyhow

I did.... was just browsing the forums and saw shady beans had posted, by the time I clicked on the thread and the page popped up, 2perlights post was there.... I will remain subscribed though to see if they are going to start another thread, or if people will JUST WATCH with respect..... for example, you can reply directly to me via PM

It is a nice room would be cool to see in a few grows to see it actually be maxed and filled correctly. Glad you shared and hope this round is a learning expirence.. So is it just 3 plants per 4x4 table you got there?

as a medical grower i think 3/ k is awesome! i've seen 1/k and the results are crucial!
sure there are techniques that can make this op more commercially efficient, maybe hanging bulbs differently or packing em in. but then it'd be a commercial grow. key word being medical, as in legal to grow marijuana, as in not sweating your electricity bill. take a look at initial costs and you'll see that by producing at least bare minimum 1lb/k (6oz per plant) x 10k of medical grade each run, initial investment + will be recouped by 2nd or 3rd run (6 months on 8 wk cycle!).
also lets not forget the intention of this set up. people, imagine if you could, living and growing without constant fear of compromising one's safety. that's somethng most people on these forums actually growing only dream about. these guys are doing that and sharing it with us which is a privilege. (not to mention the only time most people on RIU will ever see 10k in action!)
now for the questions, why 6in instead of 8in ac hoods? are you innoculating or adding other beneficials? also as an indoor/outdoor grower, where do you see your most potent medicine coming from?
also congrats on your outdoor meds! i really love being a patient this time of season...

Frist let me say this - The pics you see here are only the first week and to be exact on the growth, the largest plant went from 13" to 31" in one week. We have a 13' tall ceiling to work with and we will see what we can about getting them as tall as we can.
The choice between the 6" .vs. 8" was that the heat movement was much more substantial. Plus the lenght of the room is 24" plus height of ceiling to exhaust, so there had to be enough force to carry the current all the way through without question. Plus we (will) have the C02 Gen running which cranks out heat like none other so we want to make sure we could exhaust as much of the lamp heat as possible to make the A/C units work less and mainly focus on dealing with the C02's heat.
Difference is: With one 8" and all hoods on. Temp 74 - 104 degrees
With both 8" and all hoods. Temp 71.0
Now like i was saying we just deal with the C02's heat with the A/C units.

Yep just 3 plants per 4x4. Keeping it legal. 5 trays to each row. The row pics are hard to see but i can't get the fifth tray in the shot. Its all to big. LOL

i think i was unclear about my question. i meant why the 6'' ac hood and not the larger 8'' ac hood. in say a 20k room with all 8'' ac hoods, daisy chained into 2 rows of 10, one could use a 10'' max fan on each row for desired effect. would having 8in hood w/ 10'' exhaust fan in your 10k room allow for more efficient and precise control of temps. would it affect the size of ac you'd need for your space?
