So this is my second atempt for a hydro grow. The first one turned to be pretty good. I got a lb of a beautifull sativa. (https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/182885-sativa-under-cfl-s-5.html#post2500594)

4 days ago I germinated about 10 seeds of that sativa and all of them cracked in less than a day. I plant them in rockwools and put them under lights. They grew very fast in the first day. After that, the growth got slower ....(seems to me). The plants looks good but they aren't that fast.

Grow setup:
16XT8 32 w
16X32w CFL
250 CFM exhaust
8000 btu AC intake

temps: 83 and min 70.
Ph: 5.5 - 6.0

This pics are from two days ago, and the last one is from today.

The only problem that I see is on the edges on the leafs ... a lil brown but Im thinking thats a light burn. Now the lights are about 1 ft away from theme.

what do you guys think?bongsmilie

the fourth pic is the seedling from the third pic. That's the edge of the new forming leaves a lil burn from the lights (i believe)

everything seems to look good man. maybe you should move the cfl's up a lil bit and then see how the plants react to it. I'll be watchin this one personally

i wish i could help.,.,i kno just enuff to spell hydroponics .,.,lol,.,.,hopefully someone could help u.,.,i dont think the ph at 6.5 will harm plants.,.,as long as it lingers in that range and doesnt continue rising at a rate of any sort that could harm ro0ts ect

so here are some pics that I just took. I dont know what the fuck am I suppose to do about this PH. OBVIOUSLY there is a PH problem (this is what I think). Same thing: I set the PH at 5.5 and after I start running the ph goes high...

Did u soak ur rockwool in 5.5 water for 24 hours? If not there is ur problem likely. Any algae growin in the tank at all, how are ur temps? I love that setup man. Seems like u could have gotten into a 600 for the amount spent on floros but I won't be the one to take it there I say if it works (and from the looks of last one it damn well does) then stick with it.
