lol, did you pre soak your ROCKWOOL 24 hours? I did an ebb and flow in rw and you really have to soak it in ph water for 24 hours and let it dry before use. THey have a product called rockwool soak. I had ph probs in my res and every few days I would just ph down it. Had to. I ended up ok. Grodan suggest also cutting a lemon in half and tossing it in your res.

[QUOTE="SICC";3173795]have you tried flushing the rez and re filling it?

yeah, i'm replacing the water every other day.do you guys think that these plants will have future prob because of this burn?

its extra work, but you can bring them bac, will probably stunt the growth for a lil bit

i'm checking the ph from hour to hour and try to keep it around 5.5 - 5.8. i also leave the system run for the whole day with ph water so it will prob stabilize at some point. hopefuly

I just took these pics and I'm thinking if this is still a PH problem...
For the last 3-4 days the PH was between 5.5 and 6.0. As you can see the edges of the leaves are burned. I do not think that is a light burn because the CFLs are about 6'' away and the temps never go higher than 83. I also added 1/4 of K P

any of you knows anything that I can do about those burns?

ps: i added some perlite to keep the humidity a lil higher because is around 25-30 %

I was using tapwater that sat out for 24 hours and gh three part. I was having so many probs and I was also using rockwoll, with the ph always going up. So I switched from regualr gh micro to hardwater micro and I had no more problems. I forgot to tell you that. That gh three part with the hardwater micro let me finsih that grow no problem. It has ph buffers for tapwater that are insane!

you never metion your nutes, do you? That is the problem. We need to talk about that def. I will try and help. Hydro worked for me ok, in fact. Just only had one trun put female in four in rockwool! dIsapointoing as you can imagine, lol.

I use just a 1/4 strainght solution. I use General Hydroponic. This is what I used the last time in hydro and worked very very good. As I said, the ph is alright now.... I guess... I mean after a whole day running the ph prob goes up from 5.8 to 6.2 or something.... so I guess its alright.
The plants seems to grow pretty fast, but they have this burn.... hopefully they will recover and be alright.

they look hungry to me, do you have bloom, micro, and grow? I would feed them half strength grow and micro
