Most even on here would not grow any longer if you could just buy it or would likely go to growing outdoors or something.

I probably wouldn't grow indoors any more if I didn't have too, and I'd supplement with just buying it when I ran out of my one yearly harvest or if it was stale thus saving 500w (more like 650 total) 12 hours a day 365 days a year at my place alone and I have one of the smallest grows. Growers all over the place would go to sun, period, since sun makes the best product and outdoor is cheaper and sort of easier in many respects.

What could we expect, a 10% drop in overall residential electric use across the country? More? Add that up on the proposal too. Someone might try to say that more people will grow for sure using way more power if legal, but I would sort of disagree. A lot of grow equipment will sell, and those people will try but quickly fail and give up on indoor. But at the same time lots of lights currently in use will be replaced by sun and as soon as the first outdoor harvest crops out and hits the market then bam, massive drop in electric.

We have all seen pictures of massive outdoor plants right? Hell a couple of those and I'd be set for a whole year easy, but I know for a fact I'd still be buying some too, you'd all have to buy some even if you had your own wouldn't you? I would just to compare and try different things even if I had 10 pounds of my own stash.

Am I right on any of this stuff, or does anyone actually read this? I can probably type anything right here (my nuts itch) at the end and nobody will ever see it, since you won't read this far.

Why would you write my nuts itch at the end? Your freaking weird man.

imho - the top reason it isnt legal is $... The U.S. govt. just cannot control it wellenough to tax it the way they would like.Too many ppl would be growing/selling ( still illegally ) and the amount of taxable money would be removed from the regular circulation of US currency and be in the "black market" ( so to speak ) .. So instead of going to a store and buying food/gas or w/e and paying tax, a large percentage of the money in circulation would be diverted to "underground" cannibas sales and therefore become untaxable.. BUT its not like that isnt going on right now.. I mean think about it.. When someone gets busted with a large amount whats the first thing they make you do? PAY TAXES ON THE STREET VALUE!!..Its not like alcohol ( that was made legal so the U.S. gvt could tax the shit out of it ).. It so easy for someone to just throw a seed in the dirt.. Its also my opinion that the U.S. gvt is making a very very big mistake as the amount of tax dollars that legal weed would generate is likely to be well into the billions.. I am all for taxes.. They pay for our roads/schools and many many other things that we need and most of the time take for granted. I WOULD MUCH RATHER BE GIVING MY MONEY TO SOMEONE ( "legal" place that sells MJ ) THAT IS PAYING TAXES THAN JOE DICKHEAD DEALER THAT IS JUST GONNA BLOW IT ON A NEW CAR OR W/E.

all the above is purely my opinion and I could be 100% false lol.

Here is a way to control it for tax purposes... it's pretty simple really. Farmers take over production in areas well designed for commercial production (govt. has pot farm in Miss. already), distributed by Big Tobacco utilizing their distribution network. Prices would be hideously low to stamp out counterfeiting. People would NOT be allowed to grow weed and would still carry felony charges..... you'd have a tough uphill defense ahead of you besides. Seeds would be in the same category.

Voila, legal weed and savings for all......

out. :blsmoke:

It has nothing to do with pot, it has everything to do with money. The anti-pot lobby, aka the Pharmaceutical companies and liquor companies, is hugely powerful and they have no interest in legalizing the competition. In fact The Partnership for a Drug Free America is sponsored by the pharmaceutical and liquor companies! Uh, duh! Alcohol is a drug, so are prescription drugs.

Not to mention that prisons are big business now... legalized slave labor.
