is this way too long or is it normal for some strains to take this long? how much longer should i wait to harvest? thanks

Looks like it's about ready from the red hairs. Maybe another week or two? Have you checked the trichomes? Also, do you know what strain it is or is it bagseed? Either way it's def a sativa. Some can go for 120-130 days from what I've read.

trichomes are cloudy. has a shit ton of white hairs still tho. its a bagseed i planted same time as one other plant and that one was harvested on sept 5th.

you got a hell of a long-flowering sativa then lol. i'd say a few more weeks at least. you want to see some amber trichs before you chop.

Do you guys never take off fan leaves? I've heard you can take off one or two if it's completely shading a bud. Of course you can't take them all off like he did here.

Defoliation is a touchy subject, varying opinions but if you can't keep a plant green until harvest, no reason to jump into trying alternative techniques. I mean it's a plant that grows like a plant, it's not rocket science although many on the forums will lead you to believe it is.
