This thread is for hydro flood & drain system, on what to purchase first to start your grow asap .
And price range should be at least $100 worth equipment at a time. Like floroesent lights, flood &drain, rockwool, surge protecter, nutes etc Just put down what to get first at what price. I have $100 and really want to start but don't know what to get first to start I know I'll def need more money. This is about what to purchase first to start. Thanks guys for all your help.

What difference does it make what you get with the first 100 if that isn't enough to get started (which it isn't)? I guess I'd go for whatever I thought I could get a good buy on. Or better, put the 100 away until you have 200 or 300 more to add to it.

Here's a post I put up a while back: https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/281365-5-gallon-dwc-built-15-a.html

The only thing is, it's a DWC system and not flood and drain. But if money is an issue, then check it out. Read post #1 and post #11 by me when you get to the thread.

Now of course, it doesn't take in to account nutes, and things like pH up and pH down, or a pH meter, etc. Like illegal smile said, you're gonna need more money in your pocket dude...Especially if you wanna have good lighting...

Good luck..

I would watch craigslist with my hundred bucks, and start with getting a light. If you got the space, you can start growing with a light and some dirt, and other cheap materials to get started. upgrade as you go.

i would also start with some bagseed, the best u can find. - that way if your crop goes to shit, you havent wasted any moey on genetics while u experiment.

I'd hold on to the $100 until I had at least $200 to buy a good light with. You can have all the other gear ready to roll and it won't do you one bit of good if you don't have a decent light. I personally use a 400w that can be switched between MH and HPS bulbs- Picked it up off ebay with both bulbs for right around $200 after shipping and tax (think the base price was $165), and it even came with a timer. You can go cheaper and use CFL's, but I still think it's going to run you more then $100. You may want to check out the web site for HTG supply- I haven't found many places with lower prices.

for pumps hit up harbor freight. I got my 500 gph pump for 15 shipped. Pumps for ebb are the second most expensive diy and forget the reg stores for pond pumps. Way more power then yu need. For a table I got you covered. Go to lowes, not home depot and look in the lumber and indoor cement section for the large concrete mixing tray 2x3 for 10 bucks. Then you can either diy flood and drain fittings or spring 9 dollars prob shipped for pro botanicare fittings. Tubing a dollar or so at lowes in the plumbing isle. Cut yer own length. Card table for five dollars at any thrift shop is my stand. That is all you need. 1177. Oh yeah, pots. Dont buy them yourself. Got to any real nursery and ask them for free one gallon pots. Nursery love to give that stuff way to the eager customer. Not a big box store but a real nursery. Also I use the recycled tire mulch found at lowes or home depot as the perfect ebb medium. Works great. Buy the 9 dollar cheap stuff, little rubber chips. They are used in playgrounds. Reusable, should be 10 gallons I think in a bag. Does not need to be rinsed. It will be outside with the garden fencing and kennels. Under a hundred bucks. :)

Lights of course are another hundred along with carbon scrubber you need. Forget ozone to save money. Only damage yer plants prob in a smaller closet garden.

hey don 2009 im using flora series -grow, micro & bloom[3 part] using diamond nectar & flora blend getting good results & hopefuly i can post some pics tomorrow gh- nutes flora series are reasonable priced & i like the results so far i added pineapple rush but its not neccessary neither is the flora blend but i feel the diamond nectar is . im using drain to waste feeding program & growing in 6x6 rockwool blocks & a 2'' mat i flood once every 7-10 days no need to maintain a recirculating reservoir & its problems i mix nutes & adjust ph. to 5.5-6.2 & turn on air &circulating pump[i remove flooding hose off pump end] & let nutes aeriate & mix for a few hrs. before flooding using 600w. & growing 9 plants i hope this covers some of your ???s
