100% Organic LA Confidential @ day 56, one week left

This is my {bubba pheno of} LA Confidential I like to pick her around 9 wks, of all the strains I've grown this is my favorite all around, something about her takes me back to 90'/91'. For this grow I switched things up a little, the more I get into organics the more conscience of the earth I become. I switched out good ole trusty bat guano for seabird 10-10-2.5 which I top dressed in veg., and Espoma greensand & Algamin kelp meal mixed globally in 2 gal. bags of my custom mix & in flower I used POM 3-8-8 Bulb food and greensand mixed into 5 gal. Smart and/or Roots Pots. This particular grow I started foliar spraying my plants with Nitrozyme in veg. and Advanced Nutrients Nirvana during weeks 3 to 6 of bloom, spraying them down with water a few days later, nothing went into the soil but, Mykos granules at transplants, plain water, Hygrozyme, & molasses..........she's coming down in 2 more days

It's curing right now haven't done a dry weigh yet maybe next week, but it looks like close to 1 3/4 zips give or take a bud, she was a little weak going into flower, but her sister that was healthier with a week longer veg is a beast she is larger and the buds are the size of golf balls this weekend she'll be harvested @ 70 days, she is generally a lower yielder but I've been finding ways to get more every harvest.

She is the easiest strain I grow and when you flower those babies look for the pheno that resembles Bubba Kush the most, it will be one of the shorter leafier phenos it has a musty, coffee, fuel type smell, the yields are lower than the other ones but that's the keeper, IMO. All the phenos were great but this one knocks them out the box!

wow, some beautiful buds, doesnt look like a high yield, but if the quality is tremendous, then it counter acts that. looks like a solid grow, and those pics are amazing, the best feeling a grower can have, is watching his/her babies grow up so fast and smell so so good, then enjoying the buds later. good work.

Oh yea, I love me some LA too!! I have a male of the Bubba pheno that I've used on a couple crosses. The best one, and the one that I'm working on is a cross with MK Ultra from THSeeds. The phenos have been amazing so far. I'll find some pics of em' or take some fresh oes and get em' up.

Thanks!! yea Connie's not a high yielder at all, especially this pheno, but give her a nice veg and some LST she will yield more for you. These buds need a carbon filter or everybody in your neighborhood will smell it no BS, and you need something airtight to carry it, it's very, verrrrrrrry skunky!!

I see you cure your buds a nice amount of time as well, SICK buds bro!! The taste and high makes LA a keeper.

I am currently budding an LA confidential. By far my favorite strain as far as ease of growing. I was using a RootPot during veg, but switched to an 18 gallon tub for flower. It is now 6+ feet tall.

How many weeks did you let it go before chopping it down? I'm currently in week 5 and drooling on it everyday.

your leaves look really healthy though. Im halfway through flower and already almost all the fan leaves have yellowed/browned and dropped. I don't know if I'm over watering because it's now in a plastic tub, or if it's underwatering because I only water it with about 1-2 gallons of water, or if it's overfert because I tend to do that. I use Dr. Earth dry ferts and the liquid solution + seakelp extract. I have no camera I can't post pics

I love Smart and Root Pots.
I took some at seven before that shit was bomb, but I usually take my particular pheno to about 60 days, I'm pulling her sister after lites out in the morning, she is on day 70 today this plant has the largest yields I've ever pulled off of my LAs.
Hell my leaves usually turn black but this heat has been a mofo this summer, the one I'm pulling now her leaves aren't as pretty but the buds are like golfballs.
You may be overdoing it on the nutes though if you have dry ferts in the soil you don't need the liquids; the dry nutes have to be broke down by the microlife in the soil before the roots take it in, the liquids use chelating agents that bypass that process getting to the plant faster. Using both in conjunction is a sure fire way to burn your plants up, only thing goes into my soil is water and an occasional castings tea w/ molasses, I foliar spray with liquids nutes like seaweed or something.
Never used a 18 gallon tote either but my plants get a gallon every 3 days or so and they're in 5 gallon pots

the heat has been a bitch! fuck i dont even want to see my electric bill this month!! but the new a/c is keepin it cool so fuck it. i am pretty sure i have a few that are gonna be color changers too. i use nothin but water and mollases too. and i use 5 gallons too. how long do u veg? and what kinda yield do u get from the bubba pheno you have? how about the other pheno?

I veg for atleast 5 weeks with a lot of LST early and I yield around 2 oz. or a little more but now that I have her dailed in that's going to increase. I'm going to post the plant I pull in the morning she is the highest yielder I've had so far, everything I did is being replicated for the next batch that's @ about 20 days now, I did burn them a couple weeks ago I got lazy and didn't make a tea I used FF Big Bloom instead DUH! Like I said my girls use to teas w/ molasses, lesson learnt for me.

My buddy didn't keep them around long after we picked this pheno, but they all out yielded this one, the buds were alot bigger in comparison with a different look & smell, they were no slouches by any means it's just this pheno was so much better.

I got a couple LA in my room flowering now, and they are at 2 weeks right now. Not trying to hyjack your thread, but if you want, I'll post pcs of it on here with it's progress, instead of starting another thread. I don't remember exactly what day I pulled their momma, but these are the first clones off this seedling so the timing will be different anyway. You guys can help me decide when to pull it!!
