100 watt cfl flood lights

so at home depot i was wandering around ripped as fuck...haha and wandered into the back corner where they had a buncha security / flood lights...the thing that sparked my interest was the 100watt daylight cfl for 20 bucks, but it said it can only be used in a socket for 100watt floros, and the reflector dealy for the light was like 60 bucks, so im wondering would this thing work in a normal socket?

Don't spend that much on a cfl if you can buy 150w hps lights sitting right next to it for just a little more.

i know the ballast isnt worth it, but if something cheap could be DIYed, 20 bucks for that cfl would be a good price

High times mags recomend that light.. However they want you to rip it apart for just the light and ballast...
