i dont smoke crak i use a lot worse alchol and smoke loadssssssssss of weed it ny good for me i know, but saying i have no clue about growing? iv been doing it 20 years under light and have found what works for "me" i make about as much sense as you trying to change the topic where and what are you yeilding? ie light = yeild? talk all the shit you want we ae waiting?

before you go show us a pic and please tell us what you grow under LOL you have never grown under 1000s fact! if you did you would never go down in bulb size fact!

read 1000w grow reports and compare results because you have never ownd a 1000w in your life if you did you would not have started shit like this

I have a 400w HPS growing 4 plants. But if you have the space and capacity to have 2 600w HPS lights and not have to worry about heat issues you can grow more plants with a better lumen spec of 196 000. A 1000w HPS, then i would consider which would be cheaper to run on electric, but who cares? aslong as you get great bud!

I apologize to everyone who i have insulted in this thread especially to BC "im sorry " i have acted like a child and should have know better the resons for my actions was i was being told i was wrong in my findings if you are told you are wrong in somthing you have used then you will stick up for your self the same as i have, may be a little less of the name calling ect..

Its greatly appreciated man. I honestly do apologize too if I offended you in any way. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, the only reason people were saying you were wrong is because you got so heated making the claims with no proof.

Just saying you did it isnt exactly valid proof. No one is denying that you can grow more with 1000w vs your 2 x 600w. But I think what everyone agrees on is that if You spent some time maximizing efficiency with your 600s, then you Can achieve higher yields with the 2 x 600 vs the 1 x 1000w.


Put it this way. If anyone can grow more than Half of what a 1000w can grow with a single 600w. (which is Easy) then if you double the yield of a single 600w it would be higher then a single 1000w.

Now if someone cant grow Half of what a 1000w grows with a single 600w then their grow room is Not nearly as efficient as it could be.

So What Would be the best thing for me to use in a 7ft x 7ft area the height is huge Maybe 9ft or so but which setup of lights would be optimum??
Obviously theres gonna be heaps of different opinions but i was thinking of 2 1000watt lights?? Any sugestions will be much appreciated and thanks in advance

Ganja Smoker: Why would the room being narrow and long matter? That is how my room is and I have a 400 watt hps/mh and was going to replace it with 1000 watt. Is it better to just buy another 400 watt?

yeah go with the 600's they have the most lumens per watt and will blow away a pair of 400's

that. is dumb. sorry. Think about what you type before you post please. 600 > more penetration and more lumens, plus what the hell is the 150 watt in the "middle" suppose to do? That 150 watt has SOOOOOOO MUCH LESS PENETRATION you would need that 150 ALOT CLOSER than your other lights. Stupid idea. Go with 2 600s, and if you got the room for it, put them on light movers and cover even MORE space.

600's cant be beat for plants under 3 feet by far most efficient and since more smaller plants (sog) produce the most why bother with thousand watters. unless you want to keep numbers down with bigger taller plants.

Yes it does. Your plants are literally "Maxed Out" at 3-5000 Lumens. They cant use any more then that without injecting C02. After 3-5k lumens the light is just Wasted, depending on the strain. You can even bleach plants from too much light.


Adding light does Not guarantee better results, theres SOOO many other ways to get more out of your buds.

Yes i have bleached my plants with too much light before. He is right.... without co2 the plants CANNOT use any more light then that.
I aint gonna say do not use a 1000 in a 4x4 area because thats how i roll :blsmoke:
just make sure the light aint too close , IT WILL BLEACH THEM and put them into a lock like you have never seen .
Also my 4x4 area is in a 8x8 room so that makes a huge difference.
thats just my 2 pennies on it. :joint:

totally agree 2x600 is alot better for yield than 1x1000w hps i know iv tried it a couple of times and got quite a bit more with the 600watters and i still use them now
