1000 watt hps

i have a 1000 hps in a room with a 8ft ceiling and about 10ft wide how high should the light be away from the table?? the room is sitting at 35c too hot?

that's way too close imo, if you don't get burns, you'll most likely get bleaching.

i keep mine no closer than 2' away, and that's pushing it....
 
and that temp is way to high !!!...thats over 90f ? sorry dont know C temp well.

you will need good ventilation to help with this.
 
I'm sorry I did mean around 2 foot as I was told to keep a 600w hps 18 inches away, I got confused, please do forgive me, thanks kindprincess for clearing that up...
 
i'm having the same problem, goddamn are HPS/MH lights hot! i have a fan on the babies now and plan to do some more vigorous ventilation asap!
