1000w grow box - help plz

Hi everyone. I plan on building a grow box for my garage.
My garage door is open rather often, so I'd like to keep it as discrete as possible. Obviously I will be closing my garage door after the box is complete.

I want to fit (1) air cooled 1000w in there.
I will be using square pots (5 inch square pots) and I want to fit 72 clones in there.

Two trays of 36 side by side.

If my math is correct, which it probably isn't, I need this thing to be a minimum of 5 feet wide and 3 feet deep. Correct?

How tall should it be if the plants are going to be a maximum of 20" tall (give or take)

DOES THIS SOUND ABOUT RIGHT?? I didnt get any responses in my other thread

36 trays side by side gives you 2 deep, 13 long...

times 5 gives you:
20 inches deep
65 inches long

which requires roughly 2 feet deep and 5.5 feet long.. just for the trays

2 trays of 36 side by side.

6x6 so it would actually be 6x12

12x5" pots = 60 inches
6x5" pots = 30 inches

for height, depends on height of the pots, size of the lamp, and distance from the plants..

for 20" plants, using (I assume) a 5" tall pot and 12" from plant top to light.. you'll need 37" from floor to the BOTTOM of the lamp.. add in the actual height of the lamp to get the actual value.. plue adding another 4 or 5" for leeway would be a good idea.

edit: of course, since you're air cooled you can probably go closer than 12" between plant and light.. never used an air cooled light or 1000 watter so i could be wrong.

man im confused, what exactly are you trying to do?

That sounds good for the height. Maybe I should invest in a cool tube as well to get the height even lower and the buds even denser.

I am trying to squeeze 72 clones into a box in my garage.
I want to use 6 pots deep x 12 pots wide with 5 inch square pots

with the 5 inch pots being 6 deep, and 12 wide, that puts me at 5x6 and 12x5 which = 30" deep and 60" wide.

I need to know what height im going to need for a 1000w light and the best way to get good air circulation.
I want to get the box as small and compact as possible, and I want to be discrete as well.

My ultimate goal would be to get 1/2 oz per clone @ 72 clones = 2 pounds+

your want to flower 72 plants from clones on 2 tables with 36 a piece with 1000 watt light and do all this in a homemade enclosure inside the garage? ia all the right?

Correct stsepen420. I want both tables side by side under 1 light.
1 table will work, im just using the 36x2 as a reference.

how wide and deep are the tables?

I can build the trays to whatever dimensions I want. 6x6 for the pots would be 36" x 36"
