1000w switchable ballast

how long does a 1000w ballast last. how many harvests should my ballast last?

a ton, depending on the brand... now if you mean the bulb that is a different story, I have heard about 1 year of 12/12 use

ok i have a sun system switchable 1000w ballast and im on my second harvest its been in use since late jan 2011.. i dont want it to go out in the middle of any cycle. so what is the average life expectancy... as of now it still works flawlessly... thanks for replying rocknratm!

also whats the average life on a ultra sun 1000w MH bulb... is it measured in hours or months/years?

Mty ballasts have a 5 year warranty.. so I would assume 5 years or so.. lol
