I don't know about water lines over my lights, bulbs, electrical, fans and plants. I'm not usually the over cautious type. Maybe i'm not understanding it?

There is a radiator inside of the ICE BOX...

With water circulating from a chilled tank through the radiator, the air being drawn over the light gets cooled...

They claim that if you have cold enough water running in the system, the air coming out will be cold enough to shut off the AC unit in Florida...

I like that idea...

Plus, without having to vent because of temperatures, you can apply heavy and constant doses of CO2 without loosing the gas....

Not ideal for everyone, but I am sure there are a few ops that would greatly benefit from one of these... if at a high cost...

But I am sure a person could make one... all it is is a radiator with a flange to match your hood...

But you do have a very good point, a professional grade installation is a must..

I can only imagine the size of the fire if "stoner dude" "forgets" to tighten a hose... and "thinks" it's ok to run it without a test...lol..

Careful installation and monitoring would be all it takes for a safe set-up...

you could blow ice cold air through the cool tub and never get it cool. th light is not the problem bro it is the room itself.
sheds are like ovens so what you need is an AC unless you AC the shed it will not work
 
Notice I said "they claim"?

I do not have one nor do I claim to know how well it works...

But all of the research and chats with people that run them... points to a good product...

Even if you don't get to shut your ac off, it will halp greatly reduce the amount of time it needs to be on...

As for the light no being a problem... well it's generating heat... it's part of the problem...

But these guys claim that of you have cold enough water, the air coming out of the reflector WILL BE COLD.. like AC COLD...

One dude said he can actually get his room too cold...

Another dude runs it off of his pool, rducing his AC bill by a lot...

Again.. these are all 3rd party accts I have come across... not my experience...

I live in the Arctic... I don't work to cool my op...

I have to heat it from 40 below...lol...

Just sharing a thought that's all...

lol for the last time dude, its not because of the sun hitting the roof. That shed stays cold all summer long. i used it as my smoke shack last summer. theres a crawlsace that leads to under my house between the house and dirt/ground. its cold in there. the problem is my weak ass fan system with a 1000watt light.

your gonna be stoked when you get your fan hooked up, you gonna have one for intake too?
 
If those are the duct booster fans, which by the price is what it sounds like they are, once you attach duct to them you are going to lose like 75% of your cfm. They are not made to pull air through the duct by them selves. They are made to help boost air flow. So with those 2 170cfm fans, you are going to end up with like 100cfm total. Instead of wasting your money buying those, you should have spent the extra $40 and got a good inline fan.
 
what kind of hood do u have?do u have a hot air extake hood?u need to get a couple inline fanes and get more air taking out of the room.and new freash air brought in..fresh air is ur best friend
 
For anyone who cares or needs the info!!! The stanley blower fan has lowered my temp by almost 10c. I am now sitting at 26-27c and that dropped from 35c.

Stanley blower fan is deffinately a good buy! Im only using setting 1 of 3!!!
 
I got a 170 CfM with my 1000 wt in about 8x8x8. it gets up to about 88 on hot days, but not the 100 deg weather. I'm getting a stanley, but my problem is exhausting through a duct going out the roof. It won't be able to go through the carbon filter. NE1 got any suggestions? Prolly gonna be screwd late summer.

Im making my own carbon filter, attaching it, then putting a garbage can on top of it because its outside, so then it will only look like a garbage can sitting upside down in the corner...lol

lol, genious, i got my CF on top of a window a/c/ unit and it looks like part of the a/c unit, verry stealth:hump::joint:
 
Would all the people championing the stanley blower please offer some pics? CFM may not be the issue with it, but usability could. So far, I've only heard people mention stuff like "I've got the stanley blowing out the closet door" type stuff. I want to be convinced, but it seems too good to be true IMO. That water cooled setup is tight! I clicked on the link, but what happened to the rest of the thread?

You are going to restrict the hell out of your air flow putting your filter in an upside down trash can. Even if you cut holes in the side you are not going to have enough to not restrict airflow.

You need 144sq in of holes in order to have 300cfm of air flow. This is a 12"x12" area. And no, a 6"x6" will not give you 150cfm like a lot of people assume. 12"x12" is 144sq in, while a 6"x6" is only 36sq in.

Think about this before you go blow a bunch of money and have the thing not work.
 
what happens when temps drop or shoot up. ill tell you stress. you should go on craigs list and get a small used a/c unit. i had one fan in the box. one fan on the light. one fan pulling air into shed. one fan exuasting shed.fuck all that noise(literally the noise of the fans was crazy) got a small a/c for 30$ on craigs list. no more noise and the electric bill is half of what the fans cost.
 
Batroom fans are no where near giveing you the right exit of hot air out of the grow area.if the grow room has a 1000watt h.p.s sure to god you knew that you would need a decent exaust fan the biggest in the shop you are gonna need at least a 100mm that will fit 4 ince ducting running from light to light or just the one if that is all you have you can pick one of these up from grow well for around 60 pound but then i would still have ossalateing fans 2 is about right you want the oss fans mounting on bundges this will keep the noise down have them just above the plant cannopy and between the light and plants.cut a hole in the ceiling and have air comeing in through duckting.take the exaust fan into the loft away from the grow room have no curves in the duckting this will cause heat to be drawn back into the grow area.the hot air will be pulled into the loft space and then have the off shot going towards the outer edge of the loft a tip get some fine mesh to put over the duckting in the loft where the hot air will be exiting the room.this may sound odd but it will syop any insects of a certain size getting in.either that or just make the growroom bigger but use the same ammount of space you will be supprised how much cooler a bigger room will be.

I would rather have 4 250 watt lights than 1/100h.ps the heat is far easyer to control.more power more problems unless the grow room is keyed perfectly.

its set up and it works fine. the filter is on top of a couple 2x4's with the trash can on top. the excess air goes out the bottom of the trash can. it has no holes in it because the idea is to protect the filter from weather.
