Nice, I appreciate that insight, makes sense to me now cause I saw mine do that after adding a bit of superthrive and slow release nutes. It's like she wants to grow so fast that she's having trouble doing it properly lol

No problem, I’m a new grower myself and one piece of advice I try to live by is Keep it simple. When I first started I thought I needed the best of the best lights and nutes and with all of that problems arose. One reason I highly suggest Green Leaf is because it’s dummy proof. After mixing in whatever I want my PH stays perfect, PPMs stay around 800ish and my runoff is pretty consistent with a few fluctuations which is good.

The fact that you are even aware of ph and ppm, nonetheléss go through the trouble of chrcking them, speaks for itself. I've done 2 minor closet grows when i was younger and got less than an oz because of improper lighting and I definitely harvested too early. 2 years ago I worked on a "hemp" farm in Colorado but we all had our own plants going outside as well. Had a few at the house I lived in too. After that experience and after moving back home I realized I had so much more knowledge and experience that it would be worth it for me to get a grow tent and proper lights. I honestly still don't check my ph or ppm for nutes or runoff but I can just tell now after being in charge of the watering at the farm for hundreds of plants how they react and how to fix whatever problems come up. Only 1 season but with so many plants from clone to harvest I've seen and dealt with almost every problem in the book. Not saying my grow will be great especially since I've hardly used nutes and I've used such an array of mixed soil types, but I'm comfortable not checking the ph and confident I can adjust according based on how they grow.

Like you said, keep it simple. You can go for massive yields keeping everything perfect but I truly believe that the fluctuations of imperfection cause the plant to grow stronger and more potent. Could be wrong but from what I've seen in life is that if you baby anything it will be weak. Stress is necessary for strength.

Oh yeah I definitely agree, my next grow I’m doing photos and I wanna try just planting it and leave it alone just to see how bud will naturally grow, maybe I can learn a thing or two to help my indoor grow.

No doubt man I did that my first time but I truly don't recommend doing that. Top at least once or do some lst, just not worth it to grow indoors with a single cola. That being said it is pretty cool to just see the plant grow in its natural state, yields will be very subpar though.

Just got one of these lights, hlg 100w, growing a feminized auto from seed in 5gal soil. Should I sprout another seed or just go with one plant? Any advice on height from plant? Currently at 20” from week old seedling. Looks ok but a little stretchy. Hesitant to get too close too early. Figured im shooting for 10-12” height come flower. Not sure though. Any experience appreciated.

Before it breaks? I kept it at 20”. Plant looks super healthy at day 15 from sprout. Growing fast and big. Never heard of a plant “breaking” from not enough light. Thanks!

I thought you said that you were worried about the stretch,so I said lower the lights so the plant doesn't stretch... This is why I stay away from here...
