I want it for flowering, but I see the temp is all wrong, I think I would want something closer to 2700k, or so I think!

I've been looking at similiar lights at Light Bulbs, Rope Lights, Halogen & Fluorescent Light Bulbs
(1000bulbs.com)
the one I was looking at was the 85watt CFL as it had a 6500Kelvin rating.
I thought a couple would be kick-ass for vegging.
They have the same 105watt one you were looking at as well as a 150 watt and a 200 watt.

the full spectrum cfls are "equivilents" of hps lighting. I realize theyre not as good as getting a hps, but in the end its too much money to spend in my case. Im going with 2 or 3 of those for 3 plants.

Actually the ful spectrum are for veggie and are 'equivilant" to the Mercury Halide (by equivilent I mean color spectrum)

Here is the color spectrum of a 400 watt HPS

Lumens (Approx Mean) 45,000 Base Type E39 Mogul Bulb Type ET-18 Color Rendering Index 22 Type High Pressure Sodium Over All Diameter 2.20 in. Case Quantity 20 Color Temperature (Kelvin) 2100 Life Hours (Avg) 24,000 Wattage 400 Lumens (Inital) 50,000 Over All Length 9.76 in. Color or Hue Clear Catalog Code LU0400/0002 ANSI Code S51 Operating Position Unversal
Notice the "color Temperature (kelvin)" is 2100

Here is a copy of the mercury Vapor ratings

M400/U - 400 Watt - Metal Halide - Plusrite As Low as $9.29 ea.

Manufacturer: Pluserite Lamp Company
Manufacturers Part Number: 04001P
M400/U
20,000 Life Hours
Initial Lumens: 38000
Color Rendering Index: 65
Color Temp: 4,200k
400 Watt
Length: 11.5 in
Case Quantity is 12

Notice the color Temp is 4200Kelvin

So if you look at the 105 watt CFL videoman was talking about, you will see the color temp is 5000k and the 85 watt I was talking about is 6500K.

So if you try to flower with these lights, you will get lightly packed bud (not dense) and you won't get near the possible quantity or quality that you would have.

Hope this helps,
Celticman
