As title states.. would it be enough for only ONE plant?
I take that back.. about 3/4 to one inch away
Ok then, your good, just keep it like that. Oh and FYI, your gonna wanna use the 6500K for veg, and the 2700K for flower.
Its not about more light, its about using more lumens.
I've seen someone rocking a 250W getting more yield than I was getting with my 400W. Not only more yield - more everything.
More light = more heat. You should find your balance.

They don't have to.lol, Those both kinda go hand in hand iwth eachother there bro..... lol
No offense meant by this at all!.. Seriously, I'm not trying to dog on you. But that's kinda sad man..... Was this like, before you knew what you were doing considering growing?..
Because in all honesty... I think that if the best grower in the world went up against me, and we were using all of the EXACT same things, same environment, heat, nutes, water, strain, ect. Same EVERYTHING except he was using a 250w light, and I was using a 400w light. I feel very VERY confident that I would 'out grow' (for lack of a better phrase) him/her strictly because I have more light/lumens...
And use your lumens wisely.Correct. more lumens= yummyer buds.. try to get the most lumens in your growing space...
They don't have to.
Place a 1000HPS 40" away from the canopy and a 150HPS 2" away from the canopy and you'll have more effective lumens (not actually lumens but candlelights) with the 150HPS, and you will outgrow the 1000W.
We didn't run in the same enviroment at all.
I rock at around 0.8-0.88 gram per watt (which from what I recall is pretty decent) and he got OVER 2.0 gram per watt.
No doubt he knows his shit better and got a much better system.
Light is a big issue but far from the only issue.
I outgrew a lot of 600 and 800 watters with a single 400W both yield wise and quality wise.
Also I've seen journals with less light than I rock which put my grow to shame.
And use your lumens wisely.
