Okay so i vegd for 12 days, then flipped them to 12/12 as soon as they hit 8inch on veg. Well im 8 days into my 12/12 cycle (JUST a little over a week) and my babies are now 18inches tall! they grew 10 whole inches in 8 days 12/12!

IM PERPLEXT AND ASTONISHED!!!!!!!! i use to be soil organic (3yr) this is my first run with hydro, using an 2ftx3ft ebb&flow w/600hps. Im not used to this type of rapid growth is this okay? Im 1 week into the first part of flower "the 3 week stretch period", will these plant still get taller for thew last two weeks of 'the 3 week stretch"?

The growth is awesome and thick , a truly healthy ass looking plant. Super hardy! Roots poppn outa the side of the smart pots that are an 1/8th+ thick! Super white hairy roots man!

Sorry about the HPS

NOW FOR THE QUESTIONS
View attachment 2393326Im very pleased with my plants, temps are always around 75-65F, Hum. at 20-50%, rez around 65-70F. Something tells me the dipped up edge is a sign of heat...? like form the hps that i keep about 8-12in away....

View attachment 2393325Now i believe you should NEVER prune your plants once a 12/12 has been initiated. PERIOD! But i know that lots of you LOLLY POP with great success so.....
How far down do i trim every thing off and when should this be done??????? IM 1wk and 2days into flower. Like i said above theses babies were 8 in tall when i flipped em now they are 18in tall! I know a 600w HPS is really only affective for 2.5ft or so ........... Please help me with this one guys, will it "retard" flowering like all these books say?

not a bad problem to have. I can't see the pics so I can't comment, but if it were my grow, I'd try to accommodate the growth, and if need to prune, I'd start from the bottom looking for nodes stretching for light (they're a nuisance later) and work up.

obviously don't want to be pruning too deep into flowering; hard choices to make, have to think about what 6 more weeks of flower would look like.

Usually, the first few weeks have a big push, as you've seen, then the vertical growth slows and they bulk up. You're in the zone now.
