11/13?

I'm finishing week 7 of my Blackjack grow and I was wondering if changing the light schedule to 11/13 would kick it into gear? The hairs are starting to brown she is fat and packed with sugar! Although I'm not satisfied.

Also what are some changes I'll notice in the final weeks? I'm getting super excited as this is my first grow ever.

I don't think that changing that cycle will help your plants. I would stay on 12/12 - have done it on every single grow and my buds are not too bad at all ;O))

My buds are not bad. And id say they are pretty good for my first grow but I'm a hard person to please.

It was just I had been reading on how light degrades THC and how it grows in the dark. So I figures if I lower the time the light is on and increase the time it's off I should receive more THC. Just logic filling my brain. Any truth to this?

That increase in THC is during night time and they only saw a slight difference in THC - you would NEVER be able to tell the difference in a blind test. That change of light cycle would rather stress your plant slightly. The plant needs light too to grow the bud and THC and the lights at this point will definitely not make you THC degrade as long as you harvest before it is completely amber colored.

i switch the last couple to few weeks to 11/13 then last week 10/14. remember though i take a ten week strain to twelve weeks so they get the full nine or ten weeks on 12/12 then i decrease the light schedule and let them REALLY finish up.

edit: i just started to think about it and this wont be an option for me anymore due to perpetual flower room:(

Oh but on the contrary it does. I have tested with this and so has Jorge Cervantes. In which he even posted the study of the research in his book. It only works if you go 3 weeks 12/12 3 week 11/13 and last few week 10/14. This was tested on a SOG set up which did get 10-17% higher yields. He tested it on numerous of plants in 3 different controlled setting. Great article i posted a link to the entire book for free. Il try to look it up and post it on here.
