11 weeks, Foxtailing, What do I do?

Plant is 11 weeks flowering. 74 days to be exact. It looks so close , but it's fox-tailing and spitting out new white hairs all the time. This will be the third set of white hairs to come out of this bud. The trichomes are in some places 50/50 cloudy and amber, and in some places there are lots of clear trichomes. Most of the lower bud sites are pretty much 90%+ red hairs.

I'm confused. When can I cut this thing down? Should I just let it bud forever? I mean, I wanna smoke it some day! I'm looking for a heavy hitting couchlock high, so I want high amber trich counts. It just seems like the new "fingers" come out and have clear trichs, so I don't know when to cut it.

Any and all help is appreciated.

you can cut the buds off that look ready so you can smoke some and then leave the still flowering ones to continue to flower.

Heat could be the cause as they are quite high. Upper 90s during day time. There's nothing I can do about the heat and it's so late in the cycle, there'd be no point.

Some more info: Using CFLs. Bag seed so there's no way to determine strain/breed. 115 days from seed, 84 days from 12/12, 74 days from first signs of sex.

I'm not looking for anything to smoke right now, so I don't mind waiting, but I'm wondering if there is a point of no return. I don't want to wait too long, but then again, I don't want to miss out on fatter buds. Like I said, most trichomes are 50/50 but obviously all new growth has clear trichs.

if you let it go to long you will know, because the plants will start growing nanners or growing seeds. You could always take off a smaller bud and dry it out and try it. It wont have the same taste as your properly dried/cured buds and it will be harsh, but it'll give you an idea of what the high is going to be like.

Chopped it, trimmed it, and low and behold what do I find? SEEDS!

Haha, it's cool though, apparently it was a hermy and it pollinated itself. So that's neat. The entire plant probably had about 5 seeds that I could find while trimming. Not too shabby.

I've heard that seeds from a hermy are almost guaranteed to be female. I don't know if it's true, but that would be sweet! This plant hermed early, like shortly after it showed sex. It just developed nice buds and I never saw the balls again, until today. They were hidden deep inside the buds. It looks like only the buds that had balls were pollinated. Which is nice. The bud looks weird, like fingers sticking out everywhere. I've never seen bud like that before. Pretty interesting experience I'd say.

I've heard that too, but I'm not messing around with bag seeds anymore. lol I work too hard for crap genetics to mess everything up!~.

Old thread, but no one answered so.
Yes sutoflowers that produce seed as their last stretch of survival. Those seeds from my experience are female and or carry a hermie trait. :)
