My plants are half sativa's and half indica's. The hairs have just started to turn amber. I went ahead and started flushing two days ago. I checked the trich's and really didnt see anything turning yet. My question is once the hairs turn in color, roughly how long does it take from the time the hairs turn before they will be ripe? I know we have to go by the trich's but is there an indication that they are close by the hairs turning color? I just don't want to go over in time.

TRUST ME, Your not gonna let them go to long. From the sound of this thread your probably gonna cut weeks early. When your hairs start to turn red you still have a long while til everything is done. They should all turn red/brown and procede to look like there receeding back into the bud. All plants mature at totally different rates so there is no way to really even give you a ballpark estimate, especially without pics. When most of the plants hairs are brown and receeded, and the thrics are the right color, go ahead and give it the ol chop. If i read correctly its saying that your already flushing. You definintly gonna want to start giving it nutes again cause if the hairs are JUST turning red there no where near done.

Usually, how many weeks from the time the hairs start to turn to until they turn red? Maybe 2 weeks? Also someone told me 100% sativas take 12-14 weeks. Mine are 1/2 sativa and 1/2 indica. Hairs on buds are light to medium brown. So maybe in two weeks they'll start to turn red? I'm just trying to figure out roughtly how long it takes once the hairs start turning from light brown to red? Don't know when to really start flushing.

I'd start your 5-10 day flush, depending on what methods your using, in 14-18 days time. It's the tricones you should really be watching. Beg u study tricones

I've found that pistils start to turn orange about the same time the tris start to get cloudy. When pistils are more than 50% orange you should have a few clear tris, mostly milky ones and a few dark tris.

Good luck, BigSteve.
