12/12 From Seed DWC: Perpetual Journal w/ Pics and Vids (Updated at least weekly)

Looks like this plant's going to be over 1/4 oz.. Not great but w/e considering all the shit I put her through.

Also I ordered my new buckets/lids/air pump. Cheap and easy DWC tutorial coming in about week.

Throwing ten of the same bag seeds into some water to germinate.. here's my shopping list:

Ah yep. Coolies. Would you say the experiment was worth the cost of the electricity? Should make a tutorial on how to use the buckets instead of making them. Its easy enough to drill hole for airline and cut hole for mesh pot...
 
There will be no "making of buckets" in the tutorial, using premade netpot lids with 3gal buckets. Only thing needed is a hole for the air line.

As for the eletricity.. the HIDS and all other "grow appliances" are sucking about $20 a month, so yes it was worth it. Even with the smallest possible yield.
 
lol thanks man, but you should know here in Texas we're more worried about the drugs coming in, not being homegrown.
 
Hahah.. I've never thought about doing them myself, I've seen others have success though..

Real hydroponics is always going to be better/faster than passive hydroponics.
 
Sweet as. Wish I could get those net pot lids where i am.... I have to use "orchid pots" lol... You got any clones alive atm?
 
Nah I won't be cloning until I get some bank seeds.. btw you can order net pot lids for buckets online and have them shipped. It's what I have to do.. no hydro store near me for hours.
 
Indica heavy strains.. I'm not picky. Probably going to do a fem'd Indica mix..

Gotta be fem'd, regardless. This will be my last time wasting space on a male.
 
True... Ive only had to deal with males twice. Once I find a good plant she gets cloned lol. Those clones I have at the moment are like the 5th generation. Once you start cloning you can't stop! Do you have any mates that grow?
 
Yeah I do.. or did. Got some online buddies but my indoor friend moved.. and I know some outdoor growers that do their thing a lil.

Unfortunately I'm the most serious grower I know in the area.. now =/
 
Well I'm germinating 10 of the same "premium" bagseed. They should be ready to go into their DWCs when they get here. Only two of them will be grown, 10 germed, 4 are going to be plugged into cubes, and the best two selected from those.
 
I told myself I wasn't going to do this.. but I just had to trim some more burnt off.

Some calyxes are wilting, but it's a small amount, less than 10%. It makes sense that the sugar leaves are dying off too-- I'm really pushing this bitch to go as long as she can. I can't even trim all the dead off anymore.. the main colas are too compact now. It'll have to be done during the actual trimming/drying stage.

Pics in a few days.. I see new calyxes every day. Very surprising seeing her die and rebirth herself like a phoenix. I'm used to strains that stop growth when they're finished, so maybe I'm making some kind of mistake here. Trichs look to be 25% amber 60% cloudy and the rest clear. Harvest possibly before next Wednesday, we'll see.
