Thanks for the kind words.
I have mixed feelings on 12/12 from seed
Although the one plants doing ok, if not a bit
on the small side. I trashed two others that just weren't
growing right.
I had some clones on the way, so i didn't mind killing
the two fucked up plants.
I've got strawberry cough and white widow/wonder haze clones
vegging now, as well as a belladonna clone i may use as a mother.

On the positive side, today i got the first hints of her aroma wafting
through my place, as well as an impressive increase in trichome production
in the last two days.

Gooner & Probo, both grows are very nice cant wait to hear final yield and smoke report.

Gooner, which do you think was best grow, straight, top, or lst?

Again, very nice 12/12 from seed!

i've heard a lot of people dog 12/12 from seed. i have a few points to make FOR this method. personally, i cannot financially justify growing a plant longer than 3 months; height requirements are also an issue; and an experienced grower can make the most of any situation. with that said, just think about the cost of nutes, electricity, and co2 fills which are all continuing expenses. plus origional cost of equipment. and finally replacement parts. these costs may seem insignificant compared to what you make/save from your cash crop, but cutting cost is important to any business. a plant that flowers after 2 weeks of being planted is much easier to manage than one vegged for a period of time. growing cannabis is a science and art that can only be perfected through time and trial&error. cannabis grows only as fast as its most limiting factor. i grow from clones that once rooted go into flower and i produce 3oz per plant in 5" pots. i use a monthly rotation and harvest a plant a month. so my growing experience with 12/12 from start has been very good. i believe 12/12 is most logical for an indoor grower.

Thanks Gooner, and gumball
Gooner, your girls are looking great too.
Pmp, i get what you're saying but clones are a bit different
than 12/12 from seed. That being said, i'm doing a few clones
straight to 12/12 after rooting now too.

i'll admit there are differnces in growing 12/12 from seed and clones. the main difference is that clones, once rooted, are sexually mature but seeds do take time before they will show sex. this time allows for some extra vegetative growth and stretching. IMO if started at the same time, the plant from seed will take 2 weeks longer than a clone. and the seeded plant will be larger in size and yield. i think i'm getting off topic, but its all in the grower's preference. limitations in space, light, and yield are always factors. for me any veg time would make it impossible to fit other plants into my tent without extreme stretch. some people like to see how big their one plant can be and yield. for me its about logistics. veg a month and flower for up to 3 and thats 1/3 a year and you may get 5-7oz from it. in the same time i can produce up to 14 zips

so pumpknhd how do you get 14 zips in 4 months? like how many plants, with no veg? im using cfls on this grow so i been veggin bout 3-4 weeks so i can train em LST and hopefully get some nice yields. but i feel ya takes bout 4 months 1/3 of the year...even tho i have kinda perpetual grow going new plants into flower every other week.still wont be 14 zips

Hi Gumball,

i think so far the LST plant is looking like the most potent and has the most bud... so far ;-) form what i have been told i have a few more weeks to go so we will have to see. If you check out my sig you can see how the grow has been going for the last few weeks and there is lots of pics so you can really see the difference between the methods.

thanks for the positive comments i am really proud of my girls :-)

i pull 14 zips by using HID lighting, co2 enrichment, and hydroponics. each plant averages 3oz to 3.5oz and if i harvest 1 a month for 4 months that equals 12-14oz. i'm not saying vegging a plant is bad, it just eats up time. i guess the point i'm trying to make is... there is no real difference between the methods. its just preference. plus i don't have a lot of patience.. i like to see results and be as efficient as possible

I think this is a good method if you want to get some weed asap, and dont feel like waiting. After my first grow i will try this make comparisons.
