12/12 from seed, mainly sativa

Sour cream is supposed to be a cutting from the original sour diesel crossed with a g-13 haze. I don't know about the weight, I have the tops drying and half the plant still growing. I'm guessing two ounces or so dry. And yes, they were lst'd, no topping. It was actually my first attempt at an lst. I was concerned about the height being mainly sativas so I lst'd them.
I knew there had to be some diesel in there. That's awesome. You did a hell of a job on the lst. I'm just doing some here and there just to strengthen the plant, but also for some of the lower branches to fan out longer to achieve optimum light. Again, great job, Man.

My light is a 600 hps, the pots are a choice of 1 litr, 5ltr, or 11ltr. Thing is when i transplant from a 1 litre to an 11 ltr I have issues. My medium is cellmax grow cubes, which might be the problem. What medium do you use?

My light is about 3 feet away, maybe 2.5 from the tops [heat issues]. Hopefully leaving them this far will make them stretch? I think the big bang is indica/sativa, not sure how much of each.

My super lemon skunk just arrived!!! YAY
I'm curious as to why you want your plants to stretch? Care to share your reasoning?

I am trying something I saw on this dude's grow journal and also trying somewhat to replicate Canaman's current grow. It seems to be that when doing 12/12 from seed if you stretch the plant, whilst it has less nodes, it's height makes the bud cover the entire stem. I think both the referred to growers use this stretch manipulation technique to increase yield.

Personally I have 2 plants going 12/12 from seed. One I have stretched and the other I have not, actually it occured by accident rather than any intelligent design on my part. Anyways, if you check out their journals you can see what I mean...

I will be quite surprised if that fills in with bud all the way up the stems. This is nothing personal, but I hope I never have plants that look like that unless they are almost pure sativa and they are being grown outside. My plants are just over three weeks old and have been flowering for almost a week. I have given them nothing but veg nutes and they are still getting blue light from two of the four tubes in my fixture. I don't want them to stretch, I want to keep them as compact as possible in an attempt to keep the light levels up even at the lower branches. I've read on here from a couple of different sources to much P in veg causes stretching and of course plants will stretch if light levels are low. More branches, more bud. I don't want four inches between nodes.

Yes they do, but, that was probly done using a topping technique. And also the bud sites were close enough to connect in that picture. To much space and you may end up with popcorn at each node.

Is that 12/12 from seed in that pic?

Yes it's a 12/12 from seed and the strain is nirvana northern lights... icmag grow by atmosphere, the journal has all the details but i dont think i can do this :( I'll be happy with a yield of half oz on a 12/12 plant. I think using sativa dominant is the way to go... i'm just trying it on a couple of beans...

donkey d!$ks LOL - maybe it is nothing but a big joke

In your earlier post you said your plant was three weeks old, and just over one week into flower... do you usually veg for just 2 weeks? How many nodes did you have at that point or how tall was it?

I have a super lemon haze bean [which is sativa], I am wondering how long to vegg it as sativas grow tall. I dont want a monster, so I was thinking maybe 2 weeks... not sure

I topped my last plant which was very sativa-dominant. But seeing as how you're going for a shorter grow as a 12/12 super early, I'd say veg for either 2 weeks maximum or not at all. Again, just my personal opinion. Just trying to help and give some input.

My problem with the SLH is that it takes 9 or 10 weeks to flower and I am moving home in just under 3 months, time-wise I have 2 and a half months to harvest this. So basically 9 or 10 weeks.

The seed germed yesterday and has started coming up out of the rockwool today. It should have sprouted fully by tomorrow or the day after.

It'll only be a few weeks extra and those girls could fatten way up in that time compaired to cut down already.

there is a 12/12 from seed club thread on here somewhere started by RandyRocket, and he pulled multiple Zs growing out of partycups the whole way, it is awesome, and he shares his exact week by week nute schedule.
