The two I did last year had prizes. Not huge ones, but is it necessary? It's more of a test of your skill than a loot grab.

There is no way to know for sure. That becomes less important when playing for fun.
Not to be a downer, just a few things for you guys to think about.
Did you hammer out all the rules?
Such as picture taking, cup labeling.
You might want to use some of the rules The Dawg listed in his comp.

Do you have enough players?
Consider that 70% will not likely make it to harvest.
Remember that no one is going away for the holidays at a critical time of flowering!
Plant will need attention every day.

photos will flower pretty quick, and as far as autos, we need to know a median flower time. I dont know much about autos and the speed to which they show sex. or, hey, just be honest, and start 12/12..
i dont have fem seeds, so how many seeds can we start with? 4-5? then go with choice for 1? I know my seeds will show sex at 21-23 days usually under 12/12 from seed.

One thing I recommended on The Dawgs is once a week the competition organizer should pick a random word that must be written on a piece of paper visible in all the pics.
I only have reg seeds available atm also. Good question.

3: PHOTO SEEDS ONLY- NO AUTOS
4.NO LINES, WICKS, OR HOSES
NO DWC
5. YOU MUST POST AT LEAST ONE PIC PER WEEK, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO POST PIC WITH A RANDOM WORD WRITTEN ON PAPER (RANDOMLY).
