12/12 from seed?

i want my plants to be short and bushy and had heard that the way to do this was to top my plants at the 5-6 node stage and give them 12/12 from seed. what are the pros and cons of this method?

this is my 2nd grow and its goin well..healthy seedlings a few days old

anyone else got any reasons why i should or shouldn't do 12/12 seed?

i did 12/12 from seed ONCE. the plant produced maybe 2 grams, not worth it imo

yea, running 12/12 during its whole life will stunt its growth and give you less.

12/12 from seed is a bad idea imo. I have never done it personally but from the overwhelming evidence from people here that have. I do not recommend it.

There are many ways to keep your plants short; personally i would not use 12/12 as one of them. You can lst a plant to only be 1ft high after vegging for weeks. Then throw that girl into flower and your yield will be MUCH higher.

cheers guys..i have a few seedlings so might experiment with some LST on a few and see how that goes..

i had heard that 12/12 from seed might lead to the dreaded "HERMIES" as well cos the plant thinks its comin up to autumn and so tries to reproduce in the absence of males..makes sense and yet another reason not to do it i suppose. have no idea what strain they are cos i just collected lots of bag seed from good stuff ova the years but hopefully it'll be a nice mixed crop!
