12/12 Seeds

is it possible to grow your seeds on the 12/12 cycle and get a small amount of bud per plant once they are ready to harvest. (15 grams)? my friend is looking to do it because he has only a 1 ft by 1.5 ft by 2 ft place to grow in

yes you can start seeds on a 12/12 schedule once theyve been germinated. i can tell you though that even 2 weeks of veg is better then none. on a 12/12 the plant becomes stunted but will still grow, slowly. ive done a 12/12 from seed before and got results, but found that another seed i had germinated and placed into veg about 2 weeks later, was bigger, and had a faster growth. also your goal of 15g dry is also attainable through CFLS as i did it myself. i dont think any other safisticated lighting system could fit in your friends cabinet. although 2 feet high is still mighty small even for CFL.

he has 2 150 watt cfl so thet should prob grow it to yield like 15gramms a plant

it could be done. if your space wasnt so small id say veg for at least a week or two before 12/12. i def think you should give em at least 3 days of 24 hr light and then ween them off the light by like an hour a day untill your at 12/12

when do u guys think a non-veged plant would start showing sex? id say at least 3 weeks or a month but this isnt based on anything really

thats a good point to ween the plant off some daylight bulbs. say...just untill it sprouts out of the soil and you see no problems with it. maybe a week as it can take a couple days for a new seed to pop out. but other wise it will be possible. as for the height problem. im assuming you mean 2 feet untill u hit the lights? this can be tricky. contemplate learning LST techniques. search the RIU faq to get the information on it. idealy you may want to think about an alternate location for the plants, 2 feet is going to be tough to keep the plants lied down and stil be worth anything. i do mine in a 3 1/2 foot tall cab and still run into problems containing everything(pots, lightfixtures, fans etc.) i pull it off using some tied down branches.

Kaleo- through my experiences on 12/12 from seed. it takes at least a month to differentiate between a male or female. you have to keep in mind that other growers say the first signs of sex appear during flowering on the 4th node. so a 12/12 from seed would have to grow to at least that height to be sexed
