12/12?

i see all these people saying that a 12/12 sched is used only for flowering..my question is can you start and finish a plant on the full 12/12 sched? will it bud early or will it be fine? this is my first grow, im using two 23 watt cfls with lemon skunk seeds i ordered from kindseed..i have two plants right now that are a couple weeks old...but any advise or input would be great thanks. and btw this website is the shit

I'm not exactly sure but I wouldn't do it.

I suggest letting it get about 6 inches, topping it, then letting it get 12 inches and putting it on 12/12.

you can and lots of people do 12/12 from start. they finish faster but will be smaller with lower yield.

How much faster do they finish?

I don't understand why you would want to do that?

It will not be as good when it comes time to smoke. OK I can hear the replys coming, it works great bla bla bla.

What you have to ask yourself is,,,,,,If you had a choice what would you smoke, plant that was veged and flowered or plant that started 12/12 and finished 12/12.

You can get by with one meal a day but it's not good for you but you can do it.

so what if i just keep the lights on for the whole vegetative stage..will that do? and wait till shes about a foot tall till the 12/12?

it depends on the kind of weed you're growing.
i only veg my plants 2-3weeks then put them to 12/12.

if you wait til she's a foot tall you will end up having real airy buds with the lights that you have.
if i were you i would 12/12 as soon as possible.

12/12 from seed, a plant still vegetates. it will not begin to flower till its ready enough to do so. therefore the first couple weeks (before preflowers) they will be in veg and as soon as their capable of flowering they will. their still gonna be 10 or so inches tall before they show pistils. the yield will be less but still not bad, about 1 1/2 oz a plant depending on lights and genetics among other things.

you have to realize tho that the plants not gonna start to flower right away, it will keep growing before it throws pistils and it will be a foot tall when it shows flowers and at least 2 ft tall after stretch.

i let my plants veg for about 2-3 weeks before i throw them into 12/12 and i have a couple 600s, i average about an ounce per plant.

no point getting his hopes high.

he will not got an ounce of dried weed with the lights he has from 12/12 right now.

half ounce tops.
