Morning guys, and merry christmas (to those who celebrate it)
I woke up thismorning and turned on my grow lights to find that the new growth on my little girl has turned/grown yellow.
I'm unable to supply pictures due to my camera using so much battery power that none of the batteries in my house work with it, but I was able to capture a video using my pretty shitty xbox cam, anyone able to tell me what may be the problem? (sorry about the quality, it was bad enough and tinypic made it worse!)

Strain: White Widow - Nirvana.
Lighting: 4 23w cfls. (I know I need more)
System: Kinda like a drip system watering the plant.

What medium are you growing in and what nutrients are you using? Do you check your pH regularly? What system are you using? Give me a little bit more info and we will see what we can do...:weed:

Not using any nutes just yet caause it's so young, didn't want to run into problems similar to those who gave nutes to early.
Checking the PH, not possible yet, need to get some ph strips when the shops open after xmas, silly I know i shoulda got some before xmas but I aint had no money cause work didn't pay me on time :/
The system is, well I don't know what it's called really, it's a bucket with water in it, with a pump pumping water up through the clay hydroton onto the rockwool where the plant is growing.
It's been growing great up untill today and I aint changed any of the variables, although after seeing the yellow leaves today I did change the water in the bucket.

Well I've never seen any tapwater which wasnt too high in ph. Try adding a Tablespoon of lemon juice per gallon. Think that would at least get you in the ballpark on the ph since you too big a cheapie skate to buy a test kit:) Course you also maybe too cheap to buy lemon juice. Perhaps Maybe Mama has some in the ice box that you can borrow. Also let your water set at least over night uncovered to disspate the chlorine. I would start giving it some food and get a fan on it. Looks like it might really be stretching on the weak light. I use 1/4 capful of Botanicare Pro Grow or Bloom organic at that age bracket. Dont make it right of course. Just makes me feel better.

go to walmart, go to the pet section. spend 5 bucks on a fish tank ph test kit. bam! a $5 ph meter. It's not as easy as a ph pen but it does the trick nicely. And it'll give you over 200 tests.

I would flush the plants through with a ph of around 5.5/6.0 then leave till the plant is dry then re~water with water with nutrients in.If only the tips are yellow cut the most effected areas back to where the plant is at it's greenest. This could be one of a few things do you have water in a large tub if so the ph will go up and down.Always make a new batch of nutes for each water if you are only growing a few plants.Get into a habbit of flushing the plants during veg and flowering this will be to your benefit.I flush once a week after the 2nd week of flowering and leave them in the bath so most of the water runs of then a hour or two later i follow it with a nurient water. And before anyone says it no it will not harm the plants has long has the plants have plenty of drainage and you only need to water once twice at max a week...............tyke................
