12 hours on 36 hours off

being i see so much bud growth after 12 hrs of darness im going to give this one 36 hours of dark and 12 hours of 2000wtt's of HPS...:hump: well see what beomes of her.. she was started from seed and 12 from sprout then i switched to 12/12 to sex.....

it will finish quickly, not much bud developement will happen though. as I am sure you know, the energy is stored for use during darkness.
Not sure 12 hours of light will be enough enerygy stored
Be eagerto see result of your experiment.
 
Try 24/24 or somethin more equal or like he said above I think ur plants would be burnt out 24 hours into dark everynight then they would just stress.

i was thinking the same thing, so i was going to do 12/24 but then i would have to have a 2nd flowering light just for this one plant. thats why the 36 hours stretch, so i can put her back in the flowerroom when lights come back on...
 
Interesting. I have flowered under 10/14 before with great success but never seen 36 before. Im onboard for this one.
 
I've had the same thought really, seeing the plant grow more after its 12 hours of dark.

What a friend of mine told me was to reduce the light by a further 15 mins every week, to further simulate the shifting seasons, this makes the plant grow faster as it is fooled to thinking the season is further in.

One thing he said though was that he found out that he ended up not giving it enough light, so personally I add 15 mins every 2 weeks. only on 11.45/12.15 atm though.

there's been a lot of debate about light cycles and their influence over the productivity and potency of the plants grown ..... I believe many of the oldtimers still hold true to the 18-6 vege and 12-12 flower. I played around with times in a couple of grows and only found it to be detrimental to time taken to finish and yield and potency were both off the non-fuked with schedules .... but a sample size of one or two is ... well a sample size of one or two .... my current grow was 18-6 and is 12-12 now ... Walking On !!!~~~~~~~
 
Dont ever decreace the lightfor longer than 24 hours.Greenhouse seeds recomend 3 days of darkness and it almost killed my grow.Arjan is full of shit but his trainwreck sativa pheno is the bomb.Also tried alaskin ice and it sucked.Thinking of trying the new Jack Herer
 
damn i guess my idea to try it like that went big mygirls , lol its an experiment to try and it made it famous bro lol i say try it still i want to see how it turns out
 
yea no worries about experimenting ... we all do it to some degree in one way or another .... at some time in our growing journey .... its where innovation comes from .... walking on!!
